How often should the Rear Brake Pads be changed?

Hey guys I bought an 03 ep but to me the rear brakes pads were never changed only the fronts. I'm asking as a newbie how often should the rear brake pads be changed?

When the friction material on any pad wears to less than 2 mm you should replace the pads. Depending on the surface condition of your rotors a resurfacing of the rotor might be necessary too.

Yeah, not based on time/mileage interval, really depends on a few key factors, driving style, individual habits, etc... case in point, I'm @ close to 90k miles on my 02... & still on original pads all around! :meek:

Also make sure to check the inner and outer pads. Sometimes they will wear at different rates.
