Hey I know this is a retarded question but I have my new brakes pads installed front and rear. But I forgot to get my rotor resurfaced could I still get them resurfaced even though my new brake pads are installed?

Can't you just disassemble it again and get it resurfaced at a dealer or whatever?

doesnt matter. machine the rotors and slightly sand the pad material

i work for a brake pad manufacturer and this is what i have advised people to do, be sure to re-seat/ break in your pad properly once you have resurfaced your rotors.

The question i want to ask is could and should I resurface my rotor when my new brake pads has already been installed? if not I could wait until my brakes pads dies out and i could do it then.

were you then or are you now getting any pulsing from applying the brakes? If not, then don't worry about resurfacing, its not needed.

you dont need to always re-surface them. only do so if 1. they are warped 2. discoloration/imperfections 3. you want to waste money...although they arent that much. if you take off the rotors your self and get them done, they are about $30
