HFP front lip + oem fogs??

for the life of me i can't seem to find any pics of the HFP front lip + oem fogs. is it not possible to have both? thanks!

There used to be a thread on here showing how to do it. They're not meant to be used together it seems, but the diy definitely seemed easy enough. I just don't know if the thread still exists.

Here is what I did but unfortunately I don't have pictures of the lights installed on the car yet but I took these pictures of where I cut my lip kit in order to make it fit. Once these pieces are removed the front lip slides right in to where the fog lights are once they are installed. Let me know if you need more information.

bump for detail installment pictures, did you have to modify the fog light housings too? or just trim the HFP lip?

Willing to bet that the reason no one can find the thread is because the three main search terms you'd use, "HFP, lip, fog" are all 3-letter terms, and therefore not allowed.

Pi.toco, it veries, in some spots you need more, some less if you are worrying about gaps , this will be my second fog light/hfp install this year. I hit a deer and got the car back with a brand new HFP lip, so when I get around to doing it I'll make sure to take some pictures. I used a circular air saw(air dremel kinda sorts) to shave mine. I just mounted them on the oem bumper and then put the hfp lip against them and used white board marker to color where I needed to trim and just kept cutting away trial and error style.. Sorry if I'm lacking punctuation, hard to see everything on a blackberry

mugenreplica, the pictures you posted, yeah they are the HFP + fogs, but they stick out too much to be mounted on the OEM bumper correctly, when its done the proper way it should look like the pictures verseone posted, just throwing it out there, no means of any harm

I just drilled holes around the bumper and ziptied the fogs no cutting my hfp neccessary

Has anyone tried to put the mercedes projector fogs using the housing from the oem fogs? I think that I heard or read about it somewhere.

I was the one who did the DIY a while back. I just looked and I can't find the thread... I still have the pics if people really want them but honestly it wasnt that great, I always planned on redoing it but then I got a JDM bumper. I didnt have it installed in the oem locations, but rather had it jimmy-rigged to the lip.
