abs and brake light

I have an 03 ep3 and I recently notice that my abs and brake light came on while I was driving this happened after I replace the front tires and they're a lil smaller that the ones I had is that the problem? I also checked the oil level and the abs sensor but everything was fine what could it be?

tire size doesn't matter. make sure you or the tire shop didn't accidently rip the abs sensor or wires.
