I looked at my battery terminals, and it doesn't seem right. There is a cable coming off of the positive terminal and going to a ground near the driver's side fender well. Is this normal? It looks stock (ie not from previous owner), but I've never seen anything like this.

Any input would be appreciated.

Left is left side of the picture, or left side when standing in front of the engine bay?

Going from positive to ground? That doesn't sound right at all. Wouldn't the electricity take the shortest way to ground and drain out all your battery?

If you are standing in front of the battery the negative is on the right and the positive on the left but from his picture cause its from the passenger side its oposite. And post a picture so that we can see what you are talking bout.

there is one ground that goes to the inner fender and one that goes to the gearbox

the stock ground cable looks like this

Exactly. That's why I was concerned.

Took a closer look, and now I feel dumb. Turns out the previous owner put in new clamps for the battery posts. Except he used the clamp marked - on the + terminal and the clamp marked + on the - terminal.

I should have looked more closely yesterday, but it started raining so I had to go inside.

^oh man that sucks. Yeah the positive is closest to the radiator while the neg is closest to the fusebox location. I'd undo that QUICK, just incase you or someone jumping you off forgot or didnt know.
