not sure if anyones tried or thought of doing this, but i've always wonderd wht a ep would look like if the back side windows could pop out like mini vans/90's civic hatch? is it possible, or do i dare to dream an impossible dream?

I think the idea's dope
I don't know about how it will look on the car though
I would like the fray away from our egg's being even more like a minivan :D

I asked this question here several years ago and no one had ever heard of it being done. You would need a frame and plastic windows. A lot of work but great ventilation!

Visually i think it would look nice, but im a windows up kind of person so it wouldnt be something i would rock. If you have the geep, no dream is to big.

I wouldn't mind the rear hatch window being able to slide down like a highlander.

It actually would be rather easy. The side glass would be removed and shortened(on the forwards edge against the door jamb), drilled for the hinges and overcenter closure mech, then a rubber weather strip added to seal the glass to the chassis. I was thinking about how to do this already

Not too long ago you were wanting to do something with the hatch window, why not just do this instead. And after you perfect it, come to GA and do it to my car.

I always wondered why Honda stopped with the pop-out read windows after the 4th-gen hatch. My 5th-gen had seal windows, no sunroof and no A/C, so summers were f'ing hot.
