I started the car this morning, it went to 2k rpm and then suddenly went down and stalled. I tried starting it again and then no luck. I thought maybe it ran out of gas.

A few hours later one of my roommates started the car and it worked (I drove his car to go to school instead).

What's the cause?

After it stalled, what did it sound like when it was cranking? You might have had water in the gas. Took a little time for it to clear out.

Well it works now. I still can't tell what the cause is but I just hope it doesn't happen again. Do you think a bad intake could be the cause?

It probably was bad gas and got passed through and is fine now.

Any CELs?

No CELs sir.

BTW I was really low on gas. When I started it, the gas light didn't come on yet right when it was about to stall. When it started a few hours again, the light suddenly turned on this time.

Almost empty gas tanks do form more condensation then full ones.

I've had something similar happen a couple of times. I'll start the car, then let go of the starter position a little too early before it fires up, then when I turn the key to engage the starter motor it won't fire. In these instances, I've turned the ignition to the full off position, waited a couple of seconds, then tried again and it always starts normally. Anything similar with you?

I didn't let go of the starter position too early. It started and just died like in 2 seconds. I tried starting it again and yah it actuates but it won't start. So I drove my friends car and then not a moment later I got a text that my car actually started with no problems occuring.

It haven't occured since that day.

Check battery voltage, Also just for grins and giggles do a ECU reset, pull the ECU/FI fuse in the underhood fusebox for 60 seconds

Im thinking a fuel filter could cause this if its clogged enough and you dont have much fuel in the tank.

Whenever im really low on gas, my ep doesint like cold starts so I usually fill up when its about a quarter left.
