I don't know if anyone has ever used this product before, but I wanted to use it on some lowering springs I am getting. Will this work? or what are some suggestions on re painting these springs?

Once the springs compact, it'll tear that stuff right up. Just have them powder coated and you'll be all set.

The top and bottom where the spring contacts the seats will wear and crack, water will get under and cause extensive damage to the spring.

I've painted springs for a buddy of mine and it helped prevent them from rusting but within a years time he was having me paint them again.

Powder coating them will last longer and overall is your best bet.

Anything else in my opinion won't last!

i've used plasti-dip quite a bit, its pretty durable, im not sure if it could stand up to coils touching, but i doubt it would chip considering its rubber based, id say its worth a shot

I doubt it'll chip, just wear and peel. Regardless, it's not designed for that kind of abuse IMO.
