Thought I'd post up the results of oil analysis...

2005 Civic SI, 54k total miles,
10k miles on 5w30 Pennzoil plat. (May 26th - Oct 2nd). 5 quarts, honda filter.

Driving habits:
Commuter car, majority of the miles are partial throttle in 5th gear, except for a few merges onto the highway each day (car never sees over 6.5k rpm), and a few autocrosses.

Nice! Wish I had stocked up on more of the PP when Kragen was blowing it out for 99cents a quart.

I follow used oil analyses (UOA) on Hondas closely on bobistheoilguy.com. (A lot of good material over there, by the way. Junk too, but you learn to filter that out.) Anyhow, it's rare to see an EP3 UOA. This one, especially for 10K, is excellent -- outstanding, in fact. Viscosity remained well in the 30 weight range, and the TBN after 10K is among the best I've ever seen. Pennzoil Platinum get zero play here, but it's a very highly respected synthetic on Bob's board. It also helps, of course (based upon your description of how you drive your car) that you don't beat on your car.

Thanks for posting this.

A few guys have stellar 2006+ SI 10k+mile results on BITOG, but as you said, not too many Ep3's...
Seems honda was right on the mark with their 10k "non-severe" interval recommendation :)
