I'm posting this here as the "Tuning" forums seem to read by one person. I'd like to get some opinions on my current *ROUGH* tune. I'm having a few issues with the car and I'm trying to get them all sorted before I add the heap of parts sitting in my garage.

Mods:

JRSC
K-pro
3.8 Pulley (Making 8.5psi and drops after 7k)
RC 440s
AEM CAI (EP3 Specific - 2.5" Diameter)
JRRH
Tanabe Exhuast
No cat (Exhaust is 2.3' all the way back)
New 62" belt with Jmercado modded Auto Tensioner
NGK 7 Iridium Plugs
CC Stg 4 Clutch/Lightweight Flywheel

Recently replaced all the fluids in the car along with the new belt/tensioner setup.

Heres my current KAL and some logs:

Also I made a new log tonight with 3 back to back 2nd gear pulls and will be posting it after my lunch meeting and more work. I can't wait to crash tonight!:coffee:

I have a new intake, exhaust, and a meth kit ready to go on plus a few other things (mainly a 6 spd trans) but I'd like to get this setup running right before Nov 20th (Retune on my car with new parts)

I'm getting alot of knock and after some reading I guess most of it is because of the SC. Thanks all. Also considering some Crower Stg 2s since someone local post them up in the FS section :tehehyper:

**Also per requested of another user I will be updating this thread with pics of the auto tensioner setup etc**

Cheers,

The guy who needs to sleep more and work less :mcry: (~20 hours of straight work starting @ 3pm yesterday til now)

Well I only looked at one datalog. The knock seems to be coming from the low rpm when you go WOT. Looks like around 3000rpm.

You don't knock in the upper rpm range if it was me I just advance the ignition a little bit, do a pull if no knock is detected I go a little more eventually I get a knock so I back it down 2 degrees, really is the best you can do on the street.

Your cam angles you can also play with I like to go to 45ish maybe more and start to back it down at about 6000rpm.

Obviously a real tune will work wonders especially on a dyno.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I having the car tuned Nov 20th.

I have a few parts to install first. Injen SP1576, Meth Injection, Larger Exhaust, New Race Header, and the Stg 2 Crower cams. If the car doesn't break 260whp I will be selling everything to go K24A1 + GT3071R hahah

Let me restate that if I can solve the massive heat soak issue with the JRSC I will be going turbo. If I can run the RSX manifold and an aftercooler that would be awesome!

You can run the RSX manifold fairly easy just close to the rad support that's it.

You should be the first to mount a twin screw in the EP3.
