I just bought a set of used RSX rims and tires last night. Once I got home I realized one of the tires has cracks in the sidewall. I've never seen cracks this bad on a sidewall before. It's like the tire-eating monster snacked on it.

Would you guys drive on these, or should I not risk it? I'm not really inclined to return them to the seller, since the drive was 3 hours one way.

I'd swap the tires based sorely on the fact that they're the oem michelins and they really suck.

Whomever had those wheels must have had and appetite for curbs.

Yes I would replace them ASAP due to damage

I've seen rodent damage like this before on bicycle tires.
Car tires are more expensive than they used to be, but definitely not worth your life.

Ok so what it sound like I might be hearing is that I should not drive on them. ;)

Seriously tho, thanks guys for the enthusiastic and decisive input. I wasn't sure how dangerous they could be, but everything you guys said makes sense.

Thanks. Yeah I didn't pay very much. Rims and tires were $220 total. And I feel like I should have checked them over more carefully, so I have some responsibility. Lesson learned...
