Ok, Well I'm opening this thread to Log my experiance with the overall performance in power and economy of my EP. I will be keeping a log of everything i'm trying and it's results. I Invite everyone to share their experiance and Ideas.

Log 1. "THE BASELINE"
Cams, k20a2 brian Crower stage 2 NA cams
Fuel 93 octane BP.
Closed Loop tune.

Motor was tuned to run in open loop 15.6:1 part throttle AFR on 93 octane BP Gasoline.
Motor was placed to closed for ECU corrections to 14.7:1 AFR

Driving Style: Spirted,
Most shifting is done just Under 3k RPM with a far amount of throttle, No creeping upto speed
My weekly Driving is 90% city with No freeway trips over 15 miles.

Total miles driven on this set-up= 1,517
Avg MPGs 29.5

Up coming for log #2, After the remainder of this tank is used, I will be filling up the motor on the same 93 octane BP gas.

Switching the ECU to Open look to create a lean 15.6-16:1 cruise and Light load burn.
Updates will come after each Fill up. One extermely lean Fill up might be tested once i have solid data on 15.6-16:1.

Upcoming Ideas,
BC stage 2 cams Vs. Stock type S cams
93 octane vs. 91 octane tune
91 octane E10 vs. 91.5 octane E38.75 (25% E85 + 75% 87 octane E10)
E85 vs 91 Pump vs. 93 pump. Price per Mile comparison.
Mobile 1 Clean 5000 5w30 dyno vs. Pennsoil Ultra 5w30 synth

OK, well all the testing on the closed loop Stage 2 cams is finished. I was getting right around 29.5MPGs with every fillup.

I've switched the motor to open loop. With a light load AFR of 16.1 a WOT afr of 13.5 and a Medium load AFR of 14.5. I'll keep everyone informed.

First notes,
Drivability 100% the same, I do not notice any increase in Throttle position to achieve the same Speeds as before.

So, there will be a delay on the High ARF results. After driving with the computer hooked up for a bit, i found out that cruise is was set good, but i made it way to rich on light load. I've ended up using more gas then normal. I also found out my Ignition timing is anything buy ideal, But for the sake of this test i woun't touch the Timing.

very interesting. i wish i had the know how to mess with this sort of stuff. im getting 30mpg stock but it needs to be more considering youre getting close to 30 with mods.

Well the one thing that is truely needed is Kpro. I'm working on a tune right now that is pretty agressive on the ignition and fuel. The car is much slower then it should be, but i havn't done anything to WOT other then Proper fuel and pull enough timing to have zero knocking.

After a full tank of running in Open loop, I got 29.55mpgs. I was hoping that it would increase. I'm going to finish tweaking the ignition and see where i come in. After this tank of Gas i'm going to run the E85 87 octane blend, see if i can save on the cost of the fuel.

Ok, so Change of plans. The cams cam out. I'm going to retune the motor on stock cams and see what i get on the next tank.
