NOTE : its my coworkers rsx

hes deciding what tires to get with his rpf1's 17x8
Car has progress springs/slightly rolled so rubbing shouldnt be an issue and he basically wants good street / occasional track set up.

wants to know if its worth getting the more beefy 234 45 17. will it make a noticible increase in performance/corners? and will it make his car apear higher or the same

thanks

235/40-17's would be a better choice IMO if he's really going for performance.. but 225's are more than enough for a daily!

Agreed. 235/40/17. They're shorter than 225/45.

why stop at 235? rsx has room to handle up to at least 255.

he already has the wheels which are 17x8's. 255's would require a 9" wheel.
