View Full Version : K24a1 on ep3 ecu with reflash

When u put in my k24a1 will it run ok with my ep3 ecu with reflash,shorty header,catback, and password jdm powerchamber? I know i need bigger injectors but other than that will it be fine? I really cant afford kpro and wont be able to any time soon.

I'm sort of curious about this to... Seeing as with the reflash you get a better setup for your bolt ons and the A1 does well with just some bolt ons.... BUT!... What about that extra red line? From what I've read the K24s don't do so good with redlining.... I don't think I would use my A1 with a Reflash.... Would seem a little more scary than even just running the stock ECU while saving for full blown KPro.

ANYONE.... ?

i think i seen k pro on amazon for like 500 bro,but k pro is bible its a must have from what everybody been telling me

Boom. Do not run a bolt-on K24A1 on a reflashed A3 ECU. It'll run so scarily lean.

I wouldn't even run a stock K24A1 on a stock A3 ecu, It's just half-assed.

i thoughht so tooo?! i've read several threads covering the basic setup of k24a1+stock ecu+ type s injectors and according to them its fine. BUT who wants to be the reflash guinea pig?

i thought you could ghetto-rig a k24a1 to run on the a3 ecu with just upgraded injectors. type s i believe

The A3 ECU with 310cc's should be used on a STOCK k24a1, and even still I think it's pretty rigged. It would be pretty dangerously lean with the stock ECU and those bolt-on's, much less the A3 reflash (which runs a lot leaner than stock). I wouldn't spin a stock K24A1 to 7700 either, that's asking for trouble in itself IMO.

I ran a k24a1 w stock ecu an 310's for a little while and it was just super laggy. otherwise it ran great. but kpro did me alot of justice

You can run the K24A4 with the EP3's A3 ECU only if the EP3's COMPLETELY STOCK intake and exhaust are used and 310 injectors are used. No SRI/CAI, No aftermarket exhaust components, no reflash.

Any other combination that doesnt include Kpro will destroy it's self in short order.


This isnt really a performance setup

got enough money to swap your engine n for a reflash just pay the extra 500 for the kpro upgrade

Be careful, the photo shows a 05'+ typeS ECU with adaptor harness, BE VERY CAREFULL as the pictured ECU will not work in the EP3.


You guys need to start using a reputable shop, all these supposed cheap outlets are scams for the most part.
