I figure I have about two months worth of driving left on the tires on my EP. I bought the car with Nitto Extreme performance 450 tires. They seem good, but I have not driven the with any other brand tire.

I run an average of 3-6 auto-x events a year. The tires, again, seem to do alright.
I've heard good reviews about bridgestone KDW tires. I'll research more, but want some "real life" experiences with some good tires.
I own the 05 model year with stock rims.

Thanks

what size are you looking for? Do you plan on running more autox next year? Are you looking more for performance or milage?

Stock size is 205/55/16. I want to use the same tire size. My car is a daily driver, some the number of miles is important. I am looking for reviews that reflect good handling perforamance and average durabilty.

So, if your ep3 is a daily driver, what brand/ make would you buy for replacements?

i was thinking about federal drift tires for the rear and some yokohamas for the fronts. not sure what size but 17s for sure.

Toyo Extensa HP has been good to me, all season tire with decent handling/performance. Over 50K miles on these tires so far, starting to show wear/baldness.

i ran cooper cs4 touring for like a year. ran like 4 autox events on them, and about 25k miles on them. they held up well, suprisingly. i ran a 225/50/16 on stock wheels

Toyo T1Rs are a very nice compromise tire.

I'm on my second set, they're pretty cheap and are pretty sticky. T1R's are really good too, an old friend of mine used to rock those.

I've now had like 4 sets of these on several cars. A little spendy but a very decent compromise between all-season and performance. I have these on the rear axle of my ep, and 4 on my wife's 328i now. My R1R's are in the garage for the winter...

i cant ..pm'd mod of this area. just trying to help people make sure they keep their posts in the correct area's so information is where it should be..and not just all in the ep discussion.

and i second the toyo t1r's... i had them on my old ep...2 different sidewalls...1 set was low pro..one set i went a little bigge...both were amazing.
