My gears are grinding -.- help.

At 56k miles, my ep3 has started grinding on third :/ not always just when i shift above 5k RPMs
What do i need? this is confusing the shit outta me :/:mfrown:

Synchros are shot and a good chance that the shift dogs are mangled as well.

what talon said. most likely the brass synchro ring is junk.the friction surface in the inside of the single cone style rings is particularly weak. it gets mashed down and can no longer slow the gear down sufficiently. make sure you get the updated synchros with the carbon coating.
