I always wanted to try cutting/polishing my headlights to get the yellow/crusty surface stuff off, and i already had a buffer and 3m cutting paste/polish.

man, best idea ever.

still needs a little work, but night and day difference.

Definitely makes a huge difference!
I had to do the same with my headlights, and I can actually see at night now.
Probably do it again sometime after winter.

looks nice, definitely going to have to do this to mine there looking pretty bad. Is there anything you can apply to the lens after buffing to slow the yellow/ crusty effect from coming back?

This is by far one of the best things one can do for their car.

You could use a little more polishing. I have to redo mine.

new clearcoat.
Don't clear coat your lights after using these products. The light will look good for a little while but these products are for plastics not for clear coat so once they are clear coated these products won't work. Just touch them up once in awhile with plastix or similar product and a few coats of wax.

Yes don't forget to seal up the plastic after polishing it by applying some sort of sealent/wax.
