Just like to introduce myself, names Stevie-g, and this is my 03 EP shoulda got a 04 for the five lug.. Im sure I'll have questions but, I'm more familar with the ep then most new owners as I own a EM2 aswell... I bought the ep mostly for my dog lol, he needed more room- so dog proofing the hatch is ganna be a blast.. soooo much more room, and since this is now my second project, I shouldnt run into as many problems and Im going to make sure I do it right- NO SHIT PARTS!!!!:mmad:

bone stock at the moment-

I have the enkei 16x8 et38 rpf-1's with 225/45/16 bfg's -thinking about repowder coating them white this winter- and plan on looking for a new tire..

For the winter I plan on installing parts I currently have on my em2, and others that I've collected over time

-if I sell my volks in time I've got a shot at the brembo big brake kit but I gots ta hurries!!!
-full engine fush- new battery, spark plugs, fluids ect...
-mugen ss showa's-
-feels front strut bar- Looks a bit more complicated so it may not fit....
-D3's front 6 point brace-
-beaks lower subframe brace-
-buddy club wing- the stocky is just way to tiny- more of a personal taste
-retro fit volvo lip- First person with it on the em2 LOL
-amber sidemarkers-

-futre mods-
-sways- I dont know if progress's sway bars are the same on the em2- ill have to look at the part numbers
-intake- I want some kevlar
-rbc intake? I have to do some research behind the K...

yeah, I was messing with the tire calculater, and the 245/45, arent that much taller then what i have now, just gotta worry about another 1 1/2inches of tread width lol...

So this weekend I got a few things done....

I put some winter shows on, I'm probably drive the coupe most often, but just if i want to go sliding around, I put my volks GTU's on they're 16x7/8 ET35 all around, they currently have 205/50 series tires, I'm going to keep a look out for another set of these cause I love the 16x8's sooo much, theyre extremely light aswell, almost if not lighter then the rpf-1's....

it might just bolt straight up to the ep bumper, I think the coupes front end is a bit longer around... will see, always a process, too bad I lost the contact for the brand new ones I found awhile back online...

so I got to the em2 yesterday, took the volvo lip off, got the ep3's bumper off, and wouldnt you know, I was right the em2's bumper in a inch longer around... so the volvo lip was a GO!!! Here's a peek... getting my buddyclub spoiler next week, Its coming in taffy white, thinkin of sprayin the sides and middle part that attches to the hatch ssm, and keeping the middle part white... maybe add a little pinstripe on it with civic written in ssm...

yeah, heres the pics, and the bc wing, It needs another can of spray and clear coating, and some sanding down, as the fitment isnt great!!!!!
overall this set up is amazing as it keeps a oem feel, it takes bumps better, and handles ten times better, I just wish it wasnt raining!!

thanks well im running the same rpf as you and im lower on tokico blues n H&R springs with no fender roll n stock alignment. im having issue with my passenger wheel rubbing on my rear lower control arm. does it happen with you?

nope, are you sure its rubbing there? Mine would rub on the fenders around sharp turns, hmmm I hope they wont rub, I also had coilovers and a stiffer spring set up on the coupe. When does it rub? around turns?

enkeis are forsale btw, if anyones looking for some, I'd love to get these works I've been eyeing up, but i need to sell the enkeis first!

Progress... found out today that honda was nice enought to have two different mounting spots for the horns, Im assuming because of the fog lights...... giveing me another two inches of play!

I got it mounted, I need to clean the edges, maybe round them off, add bolts instead of body screws. I had to reorder elbows, but this time I went the more expensive route and bought a 500 degree proof elbow for the intake box, and I also got a cobra head elbow for the duct because it super tight. I may need to order more brake duct tubing..
now just to figure what to put around the duct, like a rubber material, a rubber hose cut down the middle and placed on the edges maybe, I also ordered a peice of .006" plastic to make a make shift grillie, I dont want to suck stuff up! I'd probably only use it for daily, and then take it off when track time comes... I also need to order some heat reflective tape, I think Im only going to mask off the bottom of the box.. Cant WAIT FOR THESE ELBOWS...

I haven't a clue to tell you the truth. The buddy club needs a-lot-a work. It didnt sit flush and it let water right in. Currently, probably a hpf/R, or a replica mugen, but I like real-deal, and mugens are expensive. I really want to work the suspension out, so most likely after this alignment. Ill be switching over some goodies from my coupe. I'm looking at getting some new lca's and a rear brace. I got a progress on the coupe, and have a beaks layin around, but I got my eye on some f7's and a nice rear camber kit, new bushings and pads and rotors! I have all sorts of parts to sell first! Feels front strut sadly wont fit on the ep, and some cusco b-pillars, they should got quick..

for the love of god do not get firehawk tires. when i bought my car last year is came with a new set of these, and they were awful. worse than the oem dunlops that most hondas use now. i currently run bfg gforce super sports. and they are far superior than any other tire i've ever run. yes even better than toyo's.

They would be the firehawk oval 500's they got extremely good ratings on tire-rack lol, I got BFG too, probabaly going to have to get some seventeens cause the tire selection is terrible for 16's! Might just get 225/45's again

stock size for ep3 is a 195 60 15 not a 65. i run a 195 55 15 about a half of an inch shorter. car handles much better with the smaller tire.
205/50-16 is your proper size for a 16 inch wheel.

ahhh, oh well. Proper. with what rim width? sure 205's are nice and narrow and will work on 8 wides, but they look terrible and are slightly stretched... my 225/45 are smaller then stock aswell...I was going to get the 50 series 245 but that was if I kept the MUgen ss's on...

Im really looking forward to at least a bigger sway bar of some sorts... maybe cusco makes a nice sizeable one...And I love asr's especailly if you can afford it...the pennies will add up!

hmmm for some odd reason neither of my turnsignals work... I replaced the hazard light fuez.... I hit the switch and nothing happens not even the interior lights come on. Is that a sign that the light bulbs are burnt out? Super odd ride home at 1 in the morning.. I havent been drinking.. just dont like cops. lol

So for the k1's I was thinking.. 17x7 1/2 et42 black/white. polished or that dark teal I posted

*I really wish I knew the j's racing teat.. Paint the closest I found was gmc green teal...

thanks guys... went above and beyond for some new rubber shoes... 225/50/16 dunlop direzza z1's... super sticky, kinda meaty and damn wide! The only downfall to the Z1's is a little added body roll, and if feels a bit sluggish.. so basically if they made a forty five series in this size it would diminish it altogether.. However theyre stickier then ever! And there still a lot of control, if not more throughout the turn.. I didnt slide the rear at all in turns I normally would with the BFG's. I also had to bring the rear up a bit more, and a little more still on the drivers side. But other then that they filled the wheel well a bit better. The quality of DDing on these will be much better as theyre really quite. Theyre also saving my coilovers a bunch by taking bumps better. But for somereason I dont like the look of 17's at all, way too big for my tastes.. So the 3 k1's I have are forsale. UPS never returned my forth.

Ive also been doing extensive cleaning on the underside... lucky enough I found a wipe with enough in it to lift rust/ grease, damn near anything I can think of... I want to prevent what rust is already on the car...Im currently workin on stirpping the nasty out of the wheel wells.. just a complete mess under there!

rear bumper off and all the gunk gone.. and I noticed the rebar got the worst of the rust... so I just wrapped everythink up and gave it a little primer.

I have the exact same wheels, but I have a 225/50 tire on mine with the A-Spec suspension, I would say that any wider tire would rub and the A-Spec isn't even very serious of a drop.

from my experience with the tires.. and then I got the dunlops. I wouldnt suggest getting them. Theyre sticky enought and rode well for almost 2 years exception-winters.. But theyre loud! VERY very loud.

Rubbing isnt a big deal as long as its not tearing into the tire too much.. Any wider in the rear and youll hit the lower control arm. As for your car with the aspecs. Id stay with a 50 series since the car isnt dropped much. The 45 series isnt drasticly smaller but I will look small compared to being lowered more. Just my opinion..

What if I were to say I prefer function over form? I don't mind a wee little bit more wheel gap if my car is is more responsive and has more traction. What would you say performs better? The bfg's or the dunlops? Rode noise isn't ideal, but I can tolerate it.. My exhaust is QUITE loud anyway.

if the dunlops were a 45 series, then they would.. that half inch of sidewall makes a hugh difference in how responsive the car feels, dunlops are way stickier, honestly I couldnt tell you, I like the dunlops more soo far..

ok soo we flushed the lines for maybe water and thats good, changed the rediculously torqued down spark plugs, changed the map sensor... its alot better. But is still fluddering.. at the beginning of second it drops, and then sometimes high rpms'3rd and if i give it alot of gas in 4th and 5th it bogs out.. and damn is it hard to start. Like maybe its not getting gas.. after the I try once, it most likely does it on the second chance.. Anyone have any ideas?

Little update...
05-06 rsx rear shock tower braces... I then connected a em bar to it making it a rear strut bar... Its also mounted to the car itself.. Kinda cool little treat... the bar may just be over kill

The em bar was off the rsx em trunk kit, I tryed to use on my old coupe thats in the background there! I need that running before winter or its showas and beefy bizzaks for the ep! Yuck..

As for being eazy mini twin.. Im not as clean nor as big! My old coupe was the beginning of what I wanted with tooo many mistakes.. I just got a dog and didnt want to get rid of the coupe nor the generation.. My coupe was soooo fuckin fun! So I started looking for used ep's and silver was a new color for me, and was really starting to dig tit.. Im a black car guy, I love the way the paint shines after a fresh detail. So all the parts were there from my 7thgen and then I stumbled on SHG- Eazy is unreal- and if you ask me, hes someone you take notes off of in the honda game. Dudes clean and I like clean.. it just happens when all is applied our cars are twins, but not the identical looking ones!

The duck is a intake duck routed around the bumper through the wheel and striaght up to the mugen box.. it sucks.. literally!

I rub in the rear driver side around turns, moderate.. It doesnt slice the tire, with a camber kit and a raise of the suspension, and that would fix the problem. I rub on larger bumps in the front, but thats just the liner clips.. its not bad.. the 45's are more nimble and sporty. The 50's, are more comfortable for the daily commute. But the driezzas are 10mm wider the anyother 225's and are way more stickier then the bfg's. I like the 50 series more, I can deal with the little bit of tireroll...

Why would a cop make you take it off?

Still that's hard to believe. Laws very a ton though so I don't completely doubt ya...
It seems to me though, if that were the case, they'd have the right to pull over a truck or a semi-truck because of a tall load or trailer that obstructs their rear-view. :shrug:

From what I've noticed, if you call a cop "sir" around here, it's like flipping the a-hole switch.. I've found it helps a lot to call them "offi-sir." :tehe:

Ive been pulled over for having to much stuff in my hatch, and tint is a no-no!.. LOL Im a polite guy, but sir, and ending a statement with TAKE CARE, really seems to get under peoples skin. HE did turn into a asshole, but there wasnt anything he could do about it. I have patience but once youve gone to far, I become just as much as a dick head... workin on some shitty pics, the front strut wont go on forawhile, untile i can figure out where to move the brake reservoir..

With detailing and installing the 02-03 uk tails, I stummbled across some things that could become a problem down the road....Nothing really rusted on the car other than the rear-rebar... This also shows me what dealers dont do when selling a car.. their details are shit... claybared but no wax TYPE SHIT aint nobody got TIME for that... the tails required a different socket and a shaving...

The 04-05's got this nice covering the the rear wells the 02's didnt have...

I cant stress how much I miss some good rubber.. these bridgestone all-seasons just arent helping the car at all...

and I need that OE lip stat... the ep looks silly with the skirts..all those hips and no smile. I dont think it was necessary to add the skirts to the newer model.. .with out a lip it looks like junk... maybe if they uplifted the front bumper with a better flowing design... the 04-05 7thgens got the revamped bumper which didnt look too bad with just skirts... shit is banannas....

hopefully by this winter.. Ill have some pennies saved up to get the SC and maybe honda-data or viceversa...

Installed the mugen SS rears finally... had fun with rusted tight rear lower bushings added a lil grease.... lowered the car 15mm all around... hahaha.. feel'in much better all around.. .now I need some beef
