Well guys... I DID IT! i beat my goal of 265 by 7whp :) im ecstatic to say the least. car pulls like an animal up top once the meth is switched on. i love it. :mcool:

the 241.3 is on 7.7psi with a 2.2" exhaust. the 260.2 is on 10.9psi with a 3" exhaust. and finally the 272.1 is on 10.9psi, 3" exhaust, and a 10gph nozzle of water/meth :) K-pro activates the system at 3500rpm off an accessory switch installed in the dash

He is using the 625cc jet, same one that I have for sale. It equals out to a 10GPH nozzle.

haha ill break it down for you guys:

Blower: $1500 for full kit (thanks dave!)
3" Exhaust: $149.99
Vibrant Muffler: $50 used
2010 accord crank pulley: $55 new
Snow Stage 2: 150$ new in box from a freind
Assorted connector's/relay's/6 gallons of meth: 45$

Grand total of $1949.99, and that includes everything but the tuning. total for my last TWO dyno tunes: 450$

haha naaa she's in good hand's now, i wont dump my girl for some snail ;) but in all honesty, this car feels so incredibly smooth and the power delivery is so smooth, it feels almost, i dunno, its hard to explain. i just love it now, the car has 260hp on tap off the meth, and 272 on it, and you can really feel the 12hp up top. its a pretty good difference

Nice numbers. I remember when I was there. It's fun beating up on slower cars, and finding out what cars you can keep up with. Most people always remember that the Ep3 is so slow, and then they get their ass whooped. Have fun, but be safe.

im running the 3.8 blower pulley and the accord crank pulley, its about a half inch larger which overdrive's the blower, i made 4.2 more psi switching to that pulley

should swap to a k24a2 and keep that set up...now that sounds like a good time. especially when your a3 goes within 3 months.

i doubt the a3 is gonna go man. this engine is in amazing shape and i overly maintain this thing. doesnt burn any oil, coolant, no smoke out the tail, even after the 23rd pull on the dyno. why does everyone think the a3 is such a shitbox when it comes to handling power?

well be that as it may, until i have a problem with mine, i beg to differ, and anyone that know's me, know's i beat the shit out of my car. i maintain it perfectly, but i have more than enough fun with it, no disrespect, just stating my opinion

nice. did you pick up the crank pulley from the dealer? Local dealer quoted $120 for it!

Mini-odyssey05's a3 made 300whp and his car is fine. And Dan made 272whp so why wouldnt the a3 be able to maintain that? Just because its a shitty engine compared to other K series doesnt meant it still cant hold its own

Well, as Pooptooth said, when you compare it to the other K-Series motors, it is pretty weak. 300whp can be maintained with a great tune and smart maintenance, but you can't get much more than that. When you compare that to a K20Z1 running 550whp on stock internals and pump gas daily driven, the A3 just doesn't hold up. Regardless of this, these numbers are freaking amazing for a JRSC setup. Kudos man and as already said, get some pics and vids up of this beast. I want to hear that S/C sceeeeeeeeeeeam!:mtongue:

very well said, its no Z1 or an A2, but for now, it'll do :) im pretty much at the max of what i can do, maybe a 14gph meth nozzle and some skunk2 stage 1's but im not sure if i wanna cam a motor thats not entierely worth it ya know

dude i dont even know whats next up my sleeve, i have to find something now lol im thinking a 14gph meth nozzle and skunk2 stage 1's with a rebuilt head, maybe some Z1 springs and retainers with a new timing chain and tensioner

sadly no :( island drag closed up on sunday, ill be hitting it hard in the spring with my new CC stage 4 clutch, 225 50 16 Hoosier radials, and a custom traction bar setup

well i dont want to go insane, and i dont want to have to rev the A3 over 7700, i want to stay where i am at redline wise, and if i go with a stage 2 or so i'd have to take it higher to make power


do the vtec killer cam set up lol.

omg that'd be awesome man, i should consider doing that and lowering the boost about 2 psi, i dont think the a3 would take all that

you wouldn't have to go over 7700 to make power with the stage II's. My power died off after 7200 with those cams, but that was back when I had a dcrh, I have no clue what it would have done with my krrh and a larger exhaust. I originally wanted to go JRSC w/meth and or nitrous on my k24a1, but now I am leaning towards turbo. But I look forward to your next move.

The A3 is not that good. I am trying to figure how this A3 260whp on 7psi. When I had a SC A3 I made 202whp with 9psi. On the same dyno, after swapping out the A3 for an 04 K24a2 on 6psi / RH/3"E/Kpro I made 263whp. I know the dyno I tune on reads low but damn. The A3 I had spun a bearing so fast after the way I drive, I had to swap.

he did 260 on 10.9psi without meth. From the adding cooling he got 272. Now I believe this is the highest hp jrsc a3 ever, no doubt about that, not trying to knock it down at all, but I have seen results from someone on xenocron going to a dynojet and losing 6-7% with just a stock a2. But that would still make this over 250hp to the wheel on a dynojet. Regardless it's a huge jump from where he was at 7psi. Shit should rock pretty good.

some kid on here stated more whp on a jrsc a3 but it was fully built. and he still ended up blowing. So dan is prolly the fastest running a3

the dyno I was on was a Dynopack and I dynoed at Brauning's dynojet. BOTH the same numbers. On Brauning's dyno jet a S2000 just tuning Apexi AF ratios it made 200whp. I made 232whp K24a2 6psi. DC Shorty header to custom test pipe and greddy evo2 exhaust. When I put on a DCRH I was at 263whp at 6psi. So I am not saying your numbers are not possible based on FI PSI, just that is one hell of a set up from an A3 making 60whp with 1psi more than I had. I am sure you have a better tuner than I did and have better bolt ons

I bought exhaust putty and put it around the slip joints, then I replaced the donut gasket with one from carquest that was like $2-3 and used a little more putty there too. When I had the k24a1 put in the shop used the same everything and it's sealed up great.

yea but here's the thing, i made 241 on almost 8psi, 2 more than you, with the KRRH, then when i went to almost 11 psi with the KRRH and 3" exhaust, i made 3 less than you with you at 6psi



Do you have any leaks with the KRRH? Seriously debating buying that header and fabbing up a 3" exhaust. Are most people running a resonator too or just straight to the muffler?

Have you tried VP 103 unleaded Oxygenated race fuel? My old set up picked up around 8-10whp. I love this thread for what you are doing keep up the drive and check out Scuffers K20a.org thread. He has made some custom intake pieces for his JRSC set up.

naa i havent done any other type of fuel except for pump and pump/meth, i would if it was easily accessable and at every pump, cause i drive my car a lot! and thanks man, im gonna keep it going and see what else i can do to this bad boy

I ordered a 54gal drum of the VP stuff. it was not cheaper to buy this way. I got started on it by buying it @ $8/gal

Wow!! Glad to see you way up there with all this power Dan. In all the years I've been on this forum, I don't think I know of anybody more deserving than you to see these results and get to brag about it. Congrats man!

Now throw that 3.7" pulley on, retune your meth and get a Stiegemeier port/polish and put out a dyno number people will be shooting to beat YEARS from now on an a3.

They come in 54gal drum...not sure why. what I am talking about is called Motorsport 103 (red color). good for blowers and aggressive timing. They make so many kinds of fuel. I do know that this fuel works well with your set up.

VP has very stiff prices......However the prices change throughout the US b/c you have to a dealer to get it..
