if your running the a3 i would get the megan mid pipe and keep the stock axle back.

I have the mugen twin loop with buddyclub race header (no cat) and it sounds fan-freaking-tastic! Doesnt even sound like a typical honda at all.. super quiet at idle and so good at wot.

Im not sure how the obx compares but i doubt it that much different. And i think robotichatch suggest just changing the midpipe is because its the most restrictive part of the exhaust.

I was going to use this set up but the stock axle back was free so I just went with that. It's nice in quiet but a little bit deeper.

our stock axle backs are restrictive after 205hp i believe. so upgrading it is a bit unnecessary i think. but a twin loop would be sick

no point in running a 3in axle back when the megan mid pipe is only 2.25in ... btw i have this exact setup with the obx raceheader sounds good, but like others said, the stock axleback is fine for the a3 and sounds good. i only got the twinloop after i installed the raceheader and it was way to raspy lol

The stock axle back is good but alot less than 200whp good, LOL

The loop mufflers produce THE greatest gains with the lowest sound output of ANY other muffler design produced.

You need no larger than 2.5" for the exhaust piping unless you desire non-stop harassment from the cops. In almost every case there would be significant drop in low end and mid range power and driveabililty with a 3" exhaust on a a3.

so you think it would be raspy? or should i get a 2.25 twinloop mufler that matches the same piping size as my megan midpipe?

Id go 2.5 if your planning on staying n/a.. its a good size and it wont be loud.

it wont be.. as long as you have a cat or resinator it will sound great.

i had a 2.25" magnaflow midpipe with an obx 2.5" obx twinloop. i still had the stock header/cat at the time and thought it sounded great. i really miss that setup, but thank goodness i now have the mugen twinloop to keep me happy.

i would def recommend the megan midpipe w/ the obx twinloop. just be sure you know what you're getting yourself into. the obx is not of the highest quality. after a year you could start seeing some of the welds cracking.

What are your mods? Turbo? K24a2? Why do you want a 3" midpipe?
