will the rbc clear the ep engine bay?

Rbc should clear fine and you should be able to use the intake no problem iirc, but what supporting mods do you have k3rry? I was under the impression that without a built motor or f/I setup you'll lose power

The reason that k24 swaps have issues with manifold clearance on the cross member between the headlights is because of mount choices and how they settle the engine in the engine bay, I've seen k24 swaps with hasport mounts...but with stock/avid/innovative it has clearance issues

RRC.. same fitment as the RBC. You have to cut the radiator support, or get drunk like i did and bang it with a rubber hammer (not the best idea but it worked). I spent the whole next morning messing with it trying to get my hood even.

thats what i thought, did you run the hondata img?

a good pair with the RBC if your running NA is the RSX-S injen CAI. True 3" all the way through. That's what I'm running, with a maxbore TB and portmatched IM. a Hondata IMG is sandwiched.

yeah i ran the hondata img.. you could save a 1/4" by not using it but it still wouldnt have cleared.

I'm saving up for a RBC, hondata IMG, and a Injen CAI but I'm worried that I would have fitment issues...

^^^with an a2 your definitely gonna have clearance issues but you know the rbb stock tsx manifold is better than the rbc unless you plan on building the motor. Your gonna lose tq and not gain that much hp at all to make it worth it

the dyno shop told me that if I went with a RBC and a CAI I would get better number I might lose some tq but i'll be made up with hp

Id listen to ephatch over some shop that wants you to make changes and come in and spend $75 on 3 dyno pulls or possibly get you in to tune at 70 an hour... :mwink:

exactly, if your gonna start doing cams than yes do the rbc, the rbb is a lot better overall because it has longer skinnier runners rather that fatter shorter runners which the rbc has. There are a bunch of threads about this on k20 and even on here. Some people say they dont even notice a difference at all and some say they see big dropoffs in tq and only like 3hp gain. Would you want to spend money on a manifold, tune and dyno to lose tq and gain maybe 3 hp or see no improvements at all?

I have a cai on my rbb and made 235hp and 191tq

I'm a noob when it comes with motors but this new swap made me realize alot about honda motors... Most of my knowledge comes from ephatch

I only made 215hp with 200tq and im running hybrid TB with a sri on my rbb thats why I ask if it would make a difference

I cant vouch for the RBC, but i can on the RRC. It def made a difference on the k20a, i didnt dyno it but i have two rivals in town, both who would pull me by a car.. not anymore.

yea the k20 engines can improve from the rbc better than the k24a2

are there any other intakes that work with the RBC in the ep3 engine bay..?? I have two ported RBC's that are made for cams and higher rpm's where the ported RBC will make the most power. They will work on a K24 that can rev and K20's

I have an RBC with a K20A2 and it fit with a little (very minor) bending of the radiator support bracket. I also only had my AEM V2 which it kinda fits but due to the offset of the manifold opening to the TB the silicone elbow may need adjustment.

you can just get an angled coupler to make the original intake work with the rbc.

I jus ordered all my parts for my k24a1 and now i read its not good on that motor? Dammit! And im gonna have a hard time fittin it with an a1 and hondata img?
