if it is for an ep3, it should have a rolling 45 deg bend right before the gas tank. if it is for eg,ek, dc2 it will have a 90 deg bend forcing it around the gas tank

You prob got a k20a/a2 specific exhaust. They are about 3 inches too short to reach the cat properly, have someone cut and weld a small ss tube to have it meet up properly. Also have them adjust your brackets so it doesn't hit everything you drive over

from what i've heard it's the same as the ep3 from the engine back, but if you're running the OEM type s header and cat you need a dc5 specific midpipe with an ep3 axleback and it'll bolt right up. not 100% on that though

Yep, that's how it works. If you swap any part of the EP exhaust out for RSX-specific (header/cat/midpipe), then you need the other two parts to make it fit w/an EP-specific axle-back/muffler.
So, if you put an RSX header on the EP, you also need the RSX-specific cat and midpipe.
If you put an RSX-specific race header on an EP, you need the RSX-specific midpipe.
Swapping out those parts allows you to bolt right up to an EP-specific muffler, whether it's OEM or aftermarket. Trying to use an RSX-specific muffler leaves you with something like 4" of tip sticking out of the back of your car, though, so don't do that LOL!
