Please help. I was just driving to the store and car was fine then on the way back I noticed my throttle acting wierd. When I pulled in my driveway and let it idle, the rpms kept bouncing from 1000-2000 rpms and won't stop. I also noticed a way louder than normal hissing sound coming from my air filter(AEM CAI w/ k&n air filter). My check engine light is on also. Has anyone else ever had a problem like this? Please help!!!

Have the code read and then we will have a better idea, but the cyclic idle is indicative of a vacuum leak, which is exactly what the IAC can cause when it needs attention.

Just had the same thing. I tried to clean the IACV and no luck. Had to replace it. I also have a AEM CAI but with the dry filter it came with. I never got a check engine light though. I did hook up my reader just to check if there was a code, but it never came back with one. What code did yours come back with?

Actually before I got a chance to read the code i dc'd the battery and reset everything. It still acts the same but i dont get a check engine light anymore.

I had the same problem when I first did my swap. Bad IACV. Replaced it and no more problem.

you should have taken the time and got that code read. It could be an indication of other potential problems.

CEL came on again.... P0507 and P2279 codes popped up. Bought an OBDII reader. :/ Now to just figure out WHAT these codes mean...

edit: Looked up the codes and found out that P0507 means "Idle Control system RPM higher that expected" which means most of you were right on that one.... P2279 means "Leak in Air Intake system"

Guess that means I need to look into cleaning the IAC and then remove this stupid K&N air filter(which seemed to be the START of all my problems). Too bad my AEM filter wont show up to my house for another 5 days or so since I just ordered it this morning...

update... I cleaned the IAC today and put it all back together and it runs perfect now. Thanks for the help and kudos to the person who wrote the DIY thread.

Glad to see that cleaning it worked. Keep an eye on it. Eventually it will seize up and not rotate and will have to be replaced(info from Talon's DIY). Hopefully that doesn't happen to you for a while. When you do need to order it go here: http://www.providencehondaservice.com/order-parts.aspx. Here is the part number 16022-PRB-A02. They were the cheapest I could find.
