hi, looking for a set of snows, like the title asks, do 14 inch wheels fit on a 2002si? i'm getting some conflicting answers. tirerack says they do, but i saw on here that 14" won't fit over the brakes in the front.

thanks

They will but you will need at least 5mm for the front. Someone local did it but TBH it's going to drive like shit due to the oversize sidewall. Why don't you get the 15" steelies?

thank you for the responses. MOOGEN, when you say i need 5mm in the front does that mean i need 5mm more then the stock offset? sorry i'm not the most knowledgeable when it comes to wheel stuff.

there's a set of 14" steelies locally with blizzaks off a 94 civic for a good deal. Obviously not a good deal for me if they won't fit, but I'm trying to take care of this without spending a ton of money.

when you say drive like sh*t are you saying in terms of handling and that end of things or the actual ride will be bad? Our roads are pretty bad and this is my daily driver so i'm not that concerned about performance type handling if that what you mean....

thanks again, this forum has been really helpful in the short time i have been on here.

we got flurries today and we are supposed to get a moderate snow amount on the weekend.

usedep3, ugh that is an ugly situation with that black si in your user picture. so did you try that 14" wheel on the fronts then? thanks

What I mean is this: 1) most likely the width is going to be 165 2) sidewall is at lease 60. From my experience our engine is pretty torquey and will spin due to lack of traction esp in snow. The large sidewall will make your car feel like your shocks are dead therefore bounce around.

5mm spacer are like big washers that go between your wheels and your hub.

yeah, it fit on both the front and rear without a problem they were from a 2004 honda em2 civic dx. you need to give us more info on the setup you want to run. we need the tire dimensions (width/sidewall height) and the rim specs (14x??, et: ??)

i had 14s on before. u can be ghetto and put like 2 washers one each lug so it doesnt rub the brake pad. this is experience

i'm waiting to hear back from the person with more specifics. heyvortek, that's a good idea if i decide to go the ghetto route or at least in the time it would take for me to get the spacers delivered. could get 6-9" on friday night...
