I've been without a car payment since 2007, but when the payments ended I put the 'extra' $ into paying off any debt, and when that was payed off, put it into savings for a apartment.

cash is king. depends on your priorties. after i pay mine off, im still deciding whether to go something diffferent and debt free or get a different car. I'll have to make my decision come spring.(march-april)

I'm fortunate enough to have never had a payment, but now I really want to get into a newer car and have no possible means of paying for it in full immediately. I feel you on the tough choice of whether to get back to making payments vs. just save vs. spend money on modding. For now I've decided to throw a lot into savings so that whether I choose to keep the money, mod the car, or buy a new one, I'll have some cash either way.

Save and get better car.

I mean it, you will be happier.

I'm with the guy above. As someone who has been out of college for only a year now, student loan payments are no fun. I say save some bucks while the car is paid for, keep it a year or so because it is a fun car as is. I started shopping for a more fun car, but I love not having payments. Save for a few months and see where your heart is.

all of you guys make valid points some of you say buy a newer car, i like this car alot and im not finished yet so it kinda seems weird for me to sell it but who wouldn't want a nicer car i have too thought about stopping and getting like a tsx or something but i feel like im in to deep i already have a built motor and would waste my money if i sold it.

I think my plan for now is save more money and mod wayyy less since im still in school and gotta make payments soo i think ill do that and see how things go

under what circumstances would you sell your ep

its funny alot of people say oh why would you mod that car its ugly ect....... but that makes me wanna make it even better and there are even those few ppl that talk about girls and cars and i just tell them the man makes the car lol all the confidence in the world

Why don't you do what most people do. Sell the car and buy yourself another car with payments. ;)

Joking for those of you with no humor.

Save and get better car.

Keep the car as stock and clean with as low of a mileage you can possibly manage. Just keep saving the benjamins you would have to pay for say 6months time. Then just make the decision, sell or mod.

Congratulations. It feels really good to be debt free, and I have been for a few years now. Payoff everything if you haven't already, and then stack that paper. Buy a house cash!
