haha thanks! yea im loving the new feel, its a huge difference from before. i got a check engin code today though, freaked me out but i checked it and its just a VSS malfuncition (vehicle speed sensor). so i guess its unrelated to the tune which is good. anyone know anything about that code? Im about to research it and see whats up. it always comes on after like 10 min of driving then its off next time i start it up so i dono.

Is that an ariel atom in the background? :hail:

Sounds like some pretty nice numbers, great tq for a honda. How much did it run you to complete the entire swap? Motor, swap parts, and labor.

haha yea it is, i talked to the guy who had it in there, i was surprised at the interest he showed in my honda lol. its hard to say the total cost because i tried a few diferent parts and stuf but id say at least 4k and i did all the labor my self other than the tune.

im sure this will help you out since you have an ep3 tranny also. I kept getting the same code and was just about to buy a new sensor until i read this, been good ever since

Damn good numbers. Im hoping to do this swap soon. What do you guys think a setup like this would run 1/4 mile time?

honestly the biggest thing holding me back from a fast 1/4 mile now is traction. i pretty much have to feather it in first and roll onto it slow in second or it will just light em up. if i had a limited slip and maybe a six speed trany im pretty sure it would run low 14's? not really sure though.

thanks! the tuning was done at church automotive in long beach... i cant remember his name right now which makes me feel bad because he did a great job and was a nice guy.. i think it might have been Mark but im probably wrong.

lsd and some good tires and youll be faster than a 14. What size and brand tires are you using now?

i have 205/55/r16 falken ziex tires on stock rims. only like 20% tread left lol. not sure what to replace them with

i had 235 falken azenis and they suck for strait line racing.. they lose traction from a 1st gear roll and from a launch i would bog if i rev low and bounce when i rev high (they are the shit in the bends.. dont get me wrong). I then switched to the dunlop dereza sport star specs 235s and they are the shit! no traction loss on first gear rolls and i kill it from a dig. They are pricy but worth it.

thanks for the tips, i dont have the money for new rims so im going to be looking for something i can put on the stock wheels.. maybe 215's or something

yea it sounds pretty good but its quite loud, i think without a cat anything will be though. a little raspy at times but not too bad.

I got a k24a2 with 6spd tranny, basically same mods, minus the 50* VTC. i run a 14.3 spinning at the track, but when i race cars on the street i can stay next toa 350zHR that runs 13.2 until about 100-110mph then he starts to pull me slightly

how is the motor running with the VTC gear at 50*? no v2p contact problems?
