So I'm on a budget to get a muffler. My boyfriend got an ebay muffler that sounds good! I can't stand when they sound ricey and am afraid of that happening. Can anybody post a video of what an ebay one sounds like on an ep? I would appreciate it greatly

You really take ur chances with ebay, its a hit or miss n you may need to be more specific on the one you're talking about because you can buy a lot of different brands on ebay from differeng stores. If your on a budget maybe just get a midpipe and keep ur oem tip. It will add some sound and wont be raspy.

Will a midpipe delete the cat? I don't know what the set up is on the EP

nope midpipe wont delete the cat, you need either a test pipe or header.

no. Only raceheaders and testpipes will.
If I were to do an ebay muffler I'd get the OBX twinloop with whatever brand midpipe. Its by far the best sounding muffler or exhaust for the EP3. Unless you have the money for the real deal mugen twinloop.

Just a word of warning, there's very little love for ebay or cheaply made products around here, im glad you went with the used greddy. A good rule of thumb for modding you ep is if you can't afford the real nice stuff wait around before buying the crap parts and you'll either find the nice part used here for cheap and in great condition or the vendors will sell the same thing new for a discount or an inexpensive but excellent product for cheap. If you are going to modify your car, do it right or don't do it at all...

Glad you went with the greddy

Im looking to get a new exhaust too, on ebay i found this...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Magnaflow-Exhaust-02-03-04-05-Civic-Si-EP3-AXLE-BACK-/140498062777?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item20b6564db9#ht_703wt_1169

What does it mean by axle back only? And what do you think? Is there anyone else selling a used muffler on here? I'd be glad to purchase it!

The magnaflow axle back will not fit to the stock ep3 midpipe. Better off just getting the whole magnaflow catback exhaust. That picture is misleading on the auction. He shows the whole catback exhaust not the axle back portion.

They might be cheap, but the OBX mufflers really do sound pretty good. I've heard waaaaay raspier "high-quality" exhausts. Just sayin'.

Granted, it will probably fall apart after a couple of years, but for $80 I can't complain. Better sounding muffler, and it gives me a couple years to contemplate what I'll want next.
