good luck getting it off in one piece. I ended up hacksawing the shaft to get it apart.

Small, round, black vinyl sticker. Hellaflush and if you want you can buy it from Japan to be mad tyte JDM Yo.

Seriously, I have a small vinyl circle with a small very flat washer plug underneath, all heat shrunk on with a heat gun. Looks invisible, looks flush, and I only paid $2 for everything. You don't need to be JDM, you don't need to be fancy, just get the job done.

I thought about trimming the rubber grommet on mine to make it sit flush, just haven't felt like pulling the hatch trim off again.

factory Honda parts from this pic:

the plug, bolt and 2 washers. I used the rubber grommet that was in the glass for the wiper between the plug and the glass.

no problem. what that pic doesn't tell you, is that you should plug the wiper fluid line in the hatch after you unhook it. tying it in a knot works too. I ended up pulling the fuse for the rear wiper because it also controls the rear washer squirter. just in case my wife turned the switch by accident while she was driving or whatever.

hacksaw or dremel should be your last resort. if you can get it off clean, let me know if you want to sell it.

Yeah, same here. It's just way too useful when it's raining for me. Especially since I've added the HFP wing in the back, I notice the air flow around the hatch leaves the rear window pretty much untouched, so there's nothing to get all that water off my back window.
I'd like to delete the thing, just for looks, but it actually comes in handy quite a bit.

who cares what's behind you? I clean my rear glass off usually once for every 4 or 5 gas fill-ups. feels good man
