V2 has a 3 1/2" inlet. I buy cheapy ones and just replace them rather than clean. I noticed some problems when I cleaned the original one too much. (I was nuts, and would wash it out in hot water and dawn every month.) After a year I wrecked it. I bought a dryflow filter again as a replacement. Never cleaned it, and after a year it was pretty clogged, but still worked. I started experimenting with other filters and styles to see what results I get.
Mushroom style

And Open top Cone style

I'd say the "Mushroom" style flows the best, although I'm going to replace it every 3 months. I'm going to try one more style designed for CAI, that is a cone but has an collar around it, then I want to use ducting to a scoop or something. I just have to figure a way to guarantee no water gets to the filter. Sorry to thread jack. :) The dryflow filters are good too, just expensive.

Um....no. But I'd only use a very small amount. Just to dissolve the petro-vapor-reminent stuff. To be honest, I think it was the frequency that did it in.

Link to AEM's site to cleaning your dryflow. (http://www.aemintakes.com/air_filter_cleaning_instructions.htm)

I'm sure there stuff is similar to dawn. They say no HOT water. Hmmmm....
