i know exactly how that feels. i created the "JDM AS FVCK" term and logo, sticker thing like almost 5 years ago and made a few of them for me, golam, mary and rob(eastsiderrider). i planned on making shirts and shit and some motherfucker stole my EXACT design and now its all of the internet. cocksuckers.

I'd just like to talk trash to whatever SVT owner is ripping us off. :mbiggrin:

Personally, I think we should take the high road on this one. We don't need a forum bashing fest; they know they ripped the design off... but we can be the bigger people and move on with our lives. Sheesh... the internet can be very serious. If the owner of the design (I'm not sure who owns the copyright) wants to take some kind of action, I'm sure there's proper channels and bashing them won't help solve anything. I think copying is a form of flattery. :shrug:

BTW, the forum wasn't that hard to find. Please don't post it here if you find the link.

there are intellectual property laws. as a designer this is very important to me...sadly many times it is very difficult to prove. when you sign and date work, that helps, its a shirt so you dont have that, but if you could prove that your post in a thread was at a certain date and their design did not exist before that date, then you could make an argument...at the end of the day though, its a t-shirt, its not worth it

If your original shirt said " I freaking love my Ep3" then you wouldn't have much case for anyone breaking intellectual property laws/copyright laws since they didn't make the same shirt. I have seen this shirt before with S2K and RSX on it so people have been biting it for awhile.

It's a very simple design
It's not much of a design anyways
It's just a bold, "in your face" kind of thing.

It's a very generic design most leading apparel companies are using.
Obey, Active, LRG, Nike, and the list goes on.
Bands use it, companies that aren't clothing based, Christian clothing.

It's not necessarily based on anything.
Kinda like window tint.. People don't do it because Lexuses come with it, it's just a thing to do and you have the option to do it or not.
