Huge problem!
So this past week my alarm has been screwing me over and i can't drive my car some days because of it. Ok so my alarm remote distance is shot i can't unlock/lock my car with the remote from far anymore. The remote doesnt lock or unlock the car nemore either. I have to unlock with my key let the alarm siren off for 5 mins and then hold the unlock down on the remote and it finally deactivates the alarm for me to start the car. It is f-in freezing outside and this is annoyin to continously do at night. Any Suggestions b/c im stump and i dont know what it is. And yes i changed the battery in the remote to a brand new one

Looks like you need a new remote, if the new battery doesn't helped at all.

this. sounds like the remote is busted. what kind of alarm do you have?

The black box should have the name on it. You should be able to activate Valet mode on the alarm at least.

If you know what fuse is used for the alarm then just remove it and that should disable the alarm for the time being. If all esle fails then take it to shop that does alarms and have them remove it.
