the mugen SS has almost a 1.5" drop compared to stock. i've heard people say that 'the hfp suspension is a dd setup you can take the track while the mugen ss is a track setup you can dd'.

I've had my Mugen SS for 4 years now and the ride quality is good for daily driving. The wheel gap is pretty small with 17" wheels and 225/45/17 tires. Here's and old pic of my car:

why would you do that? The mugen ss is designed for the springs it has.

I used to have the Tein s-tech springs on stock struts. Replaced them when I got the Mugen SS over a year ago. At first I was bummed b/c the Mugens sat higher than the Teins... but the ride is a lot better. I can ride over most of the neighborhood speed bumps without slowing down anymore. Also the cornering around the city streets feels more stable. I really like the ride quality. Just wish they were .5" lower.

Here's a side-by-side comparison image I made:

Below is a pic of the car now.

Yeah I was a little disappointed at first coming from progress springs but the ride quality made up for it. You will be to get rid of some of that gap with 17's and good tires.

215/45's with the 17x7 wheels you told me about will look better and fill up the gap some. Hit me up if you need anymore info bub.
