Was just wondering which vacum tubes feed all cylinders so i can treat my ep with some seafoam. Most other cars I've used the brake booster line will this work on ep's too?
thanks in advance

i cringe when i think of people pouring stupid shit like this into their good engine. i dont know what you expect to accomplish other than wasting your money and screwing up your motor.

Whats wrong with seafoam? it cleans your fuel system and gets rid of carbon deposits.

start saving for a new o2 sensor

Used seafoam in all ~8 cars i have ever owned and have never had a problem
Ask any worthwhile mechanic and he will tell you the same thing

I think the argument against it is something along the lines of it was a good product before all vehicles had emissions control/monitoring systems OEM, but may cause problems with contemporary vehicle equipment.
As such, maybe it was OK to use on your old muscle car (just making a generalization here, not being specific to you ) which didn't have anything like O2 sensors to worry about, but on current electronic sensors and such, will cause damage and/or failure.

listen if you want to do it right, go to your local dodge dealer and get a can of "combustion chamber cleaner", its a 6$ aerosol that has a foam like property, and you do this after a long drive or a long idle, get the engine good and hot, and id say your best bet is to do it through the throttle body for half the can and then the PCV line for half the can, as soon as the can runs out shut the car off and let it sit for 20 minutes then go out and give her a good ripping. i cant do this to my ep3 cause the cleaner isnt too good for the coating on my supercharger blades but i did it to my ej8 with 150K on it and it accelerated smoother, idled nicer, etc etc

I've ran Seafoam through my motor 4+ times and passed CA emissions last year with flying colors. Used it in all of the cars I've owned and it has really helped clean up the idle and acceleration

same here... seam foam in every possible place..not oince have a had problem..even did it when i drove 3200 miles cross country.

Edit: I Do not use it every single fill up. i used it mainly because the car had sat for 3 years...gas was iffy. so i put that in, hoofed it to the nearest station...91 to the top...whole way home was 91+ octane. occasionally i dump sea foam in the gas tank. But on all my 88,89,91 civic hatchs/crx's..ive used it and mainly it just smoothed out things and got rid of rough spots.

Will never use seafoam again. My friend swears by it so we did it in my ep3. Whole bunch of smelly ass smoke and didnt see any difference. Soon after my car needed 2 o2 sensors and threw a fuel air metering code and blew soon after. Also my exhaust smelled like mothballs ever since. Would not reccomend it.

i dont like seafoam but i am curious to the affect is has internally. i know if misused you could easily hydrolock the engine but what else?

I have seen the debris loosened up scratch the living crap out of the cylinder walls and the seafoam crap takes out o2 sensors.

You would be far better off performing the proper maintenance as it is needed.

WD-40, the best!

oh thats true i never thought of that, i was also thinking carbon deposits getting caught between the valve and the seat

if there is a heavy layer of carbon on the piston tops the stuff comes off in chunks and scratchs the cylinder walls and then passes down the exhaust and settles on the cat substrate.

Install a oil catch can system and the engine will never develop carbon deposits untill the valve stem seals go bad.

NOW, if you have very little deposits(pcv oil can), the seafoam will clean the injectors effectively when added to the fuel. This is the cause of 99% of the felt improvements, just running it in the mani to clean piston crowns impacts power production very little.

Everyone knows that it goes in the horn fluid resivoir. On our cars its next to the muffler bearings.
