Wassup guys I'm Philip from nor cal.... Just want to say hello and keep my car's process here...

First Honda after like 25 cars... Mostly mazda, recently s/c miata na, mazdaspeed3... Brought the ep3 for roomy hatchback, gas mileage and something different

Now its a weekend autox only car... Currently way under power in class SMF... Gonna test out new upgrades done this winter 1/1/11...

Putting down 155 whp 131 tq with what I got...

Really would like to get around 200-250 whp... And 275/35/15 Hoosier to go with that....

Stay n/a with cam and vtec killer or swap k20 or drop a rotrex kit from tts performance to the k20a3... Really love how everyone is hating on the k20a3... It's pretty funny...

Welcome! If you ever make it a little further North we have an amazingly fun track up here! I would say your car is much more of a "race car" than mine, but I did manage to win our not very heavily contested ST class this last season. in time will man up and get buddy club rsd coilover and hotchkis camber plates....but thats after i decide what i want to do with my engine....

same thing here in SCCA SFR....thats no chance what so ever in st....couple of old G that been autox for 20+ years in a 89 civic si....that year of civic owned st and sts class....

Buddy club rsd coilover does it come with front camber plates?

Nope,.. I ended up getting the eibach camber kit. You get the front 2 bolts and I got neg 2 out of those (that was as far as it went) and the rear plates and I stayed at about a neg 1.0. Its my daily so nothing too agressive but it carvs well with what ive done.

i got -1.9 front with 1 crash bolt.... and no rear camber i end up with 2.2 rear

car did great today....i mounted the camcorder upside down....so the video end up upside down ( i thought i can rotate the video like picture...LOL)

1st run 67.xxx
2nd 71.xxx (did a little donuts)
3nd 64.7xx
last 64.4xx

all 4 runs were wet, windy and very cold......will post result as soon as they are up

i plan on running smf next season, and i was wondering with the mods that you have how competitive are you?

also have your brakes given you any trouble?

this is my first year running smf also.....but i do believe im still 40-50 whp 20 tq short and some race tires to be on top i believe..... last year smf winner was a EG with a swapped engine/275 hoosier and im not sure if he is boost or not...and few other boost focus SVT....but in rain today my under power ep did pretty good imo....wont know until final result come out....i shoulda break into 63.xxx today but at the very last stretch of the course i see a course worker running out of the way after he picked up cone.....i lift and for a splite secord i got lost....in the video you can hear me yelled "fuck....!"

if you guys have a monitor can rotate upside down i'll load up the video clips....LOL

what do you mean have my brakes given me any trouble?? EP3's brakes or hawks HP+ ? Hawks is little noise from time to time...and very very dusty.... other than that...they works great for me.....i doubt it i'll need BBK upgrade anytime soon....very happy with my setup right now

The rsd does come with adjustable front plates. The N+ are the ones that don't. An smf ep3 wouldn't stand a chance in my region without huge available funds.

what kinda car running in smf in your region? should be nothing but eg with boost swapped....

i believe with around 200-220 whp, v710/a6 hoosier and proper suspension setup ep3 can be a force in smf.....i have 28 days off till next event.....lets see what else i can do to improve my car's set up.....

RSD definately comes with adjustable front plates. I know cause I have them. swapped ef/eg civics. one with a built c5 and one with a boosted b18b. 200whp+ minis. all on big rcomps. i think the ep3 can hold its own if done right but nobody has campaigned one to that extent as far as i know.

oh yea....forgot about the mini's....cant wait to battle up this year with other smf this year....i want to see what our underdog k20a3 that everybody hate on can do.... maybe vtec killer/stage 2 cam/kpro is on the menu/rcomps and lose a few more lbs.....gonna bring home some hardware...!!

You are correct,.. I had to re-tighten my front right yesterday,.. as I was driving normal mid, bumpy turn my steering changed all of the sudden to not enough so I had to turn more. Ive had the issue of my steering wheel being off to the right for a week now, and didint even think it could be the plates, now its chizzled where it shited while driving.

Heres my last video of last year in the rain, if it wasint for the cone I would have been 3 sec ahead in 1st against 1 other guy that day (a older jetta), and at 54.4 if I was in sm would have beat 2 wrx's, a swapped older wrx, and I think a datsun not really sure what it was lol.

man i usually mount the camcorder just outside the sunroof....but it was raining today so i mounted inside the sunroof upside down....LOL

i know if i stop they'll probably give me re-run...but it was a long run group + an accident (a course worker got hit by are spun out s2000) and thats why i lift and got distracted when i see a course worker running for his life.....

I had a guy do that to me my 2nd time doing autocross, 1st run (didint know the course well, my fault) and after avoiding him got so lost and frustrated after that couldint get one damn good run in.

what numbers did you hit with your new mods? throw a s/c on the damn thing and i think you'll be more than satisfied imo

s/c will be overkill for autox in a fwd car.... im gonna leave it along for now.... dropping lbs will be the main focus at this point...
