ok so i have an 02 civic si that is lowered 2 inches. i have found a pretty good deal on some used wheels and tires they are 18" R-1 racing sport wheels with a 7.5 offset on toyo proxes 225/40/18 tires. Wil this work on my civic??? thanks guys and peace

I'm sure they will but I wouldn't go any bigger then 17's on a EP3!!!!

y is that??

becase usually the wheels are a lot heavier than 17's and below, the tires are expensive and dont last, and some people dont like the way they look as they sometimes (depending on the style) look huge..

7.5 offset?

Do you mean 7.5" width? Post a link.

By the way, 18s" on EP3s look like booboo.

thy'll fit, im running 18x8.5 +42 i think and thy barely rub on the inner fender liner. but im also lowerd on s-tech's...honestly though im tryign to go down to 17's if u go 18's u gatta dump your car and tuck them in to make them look good

the skunk2 ep3 are on 18s. and the black one with the gold te37. those 18s with tires are 1lb lighter than the stock 15 in tire and wheel combo. i agree it does depend on the look of the car.and also depends on the wheel at the same time. a forged wheel is alot lighter than a cast wheel. but not all 18s are considerably heavier. i like 18s on the ep. of course i like 17s and some 16s as well.

I have 18x7.5 and Tanabe GF 210s. Drop up front is 1.3", back is 1.5". Front fenders are rolled. With 215/35/18, there was no rubbing but the ride felt terrible. Scraped everywhere. Basically like riding on rubber bands.

Ended up moving up to 215/40/18. (Didn't do 225 because it'd throw the aspect ratio all out of whack and I knew 40 series was already pushing it at 18".) Comfort is a hell of a lot better, although now I get a slight hint of rubbing at hard sharp curves or u-turns - both on the inside well and fender well. Still occasionally scrape, but no where near as much.

Short answer: Won't work with a 2" drop.

I have a set of Bronze 5Zigen ProRacer GN+ (18 x 7.5 +40 offset) from my old car (2008 MazdaSpeed3). When I sold that car the rims wouldn't fit my new car and therefore they are in boxes rotting in my garage. Since I got my 2004 EP3, I was waiting till it was time to get new tires before swapping them out with my 5 Zigen Rims.

Will they fit, or will I need to do anything (fender roll, ETC..). My car is on stock springs and I thought if I went with the 18's, that I would actually fill the wheelgap a little better. Any thoughts please...
