Im wondering what you guys give me as opinions on me dropping my car. I have springs the H&R springs for the 02-03 ep3. Im dropping it soon but i would like to know what is a good set up. Struts (Brands) The whole shebangs etc... Plus I am not 100% sure what I need other then springs and struts for lowering my ep. Thanks in advance as well on taking your time in reading this. I very much so gladly appreciate it.

I suggest either koni or bilstein...also buy a camber kit for the rear, you don't need one for the front but if you want, get camber bolts for the front too...

Lol @ the females part. Already Married but thank you for the suggestion. Already got some decent wheels (Konig Bronze Helium). I think I might post a pic up of my ride. Been here a while and havent posted one yet. What brand of lower control arms and also what brand for the rear camber kit?

I was thinking of Koni but they only make the Yellows for us ep'ers. I will mos def look into bilstein, also what brand of camber kit for the rear would be good. and also is there any brand for front camber bolts as well as what kind of bars would I need for the rest of the suspension?

Ill look into Tokico D-Specs, Thank you for replying though with an opinion for me. and What kind of brand on the camber kit would be good?

Thank you all again for replying so quick just a few more things. I might be doing this myself as well with a buddy of mine thats on here.

whats wrong with the yellows? they are fantastic dampeners...any rear camber kit will work, just go with one from our vendors, just dont buy off brand stuff from ebay...with the camber bolts, again same thing, you can even get them from honda...as for bars, theres nothing else, dont waste money on strut bars they really dont do anything...

For sure. On the Koni Yellows. I'll think about getting those again. I just dont want anything OEM, I rather have Aftermarket suspension. Im going to look at the vendors right now for the camber kit. Thanks again RedSiBaron! Appreciate it. Very much!

no problem! plus the thing about konis is you are going to have to spend some serious cash to beat their dampening performance (or buy bilstein, they are even better dampening), plus they are very very very consistently built...on the shock dyno they will read the same, tokicos, tein, kyb wont match, even from the same production run

Ahh. I understand. Thank you very much for the info. So what is better if you dont mind me asking? That is my deepest interest now. Billstein Vs. Koni.

Plus i also posted up some pics of my ride (I edited original post and htmled them in there). just took them maybe 15 mins ago from my phone.
Also for camber kit what do you recommend. I found this one on SSR.

bilsteins are arguably better than koni, but will cost you a lot more, i think the bilsteins have a lifetime warranty

those t1rs are nice, i am definitely considering buying those for my car since my hotchkis camber kit is very old at this point

And that is what came up. Im wondering if that is what you are talking about and what are the differences between those. Thanks very much Im trying to learn thanks again for helping me RedSiBaron. Plus the good thing is that the Bilstein it says were made in germany and my H&R's are German made. Thanks again. Appreciate it any other help would be glad. Specially since My wife doesnt want me dropping the car unless it is going to be safely done etc... With the correct Aftermarket parts.

I agree about the Tokico D-specs. I have them and love them. They are adjustable and work well with the spring rate. The first things you will need are the camber kits though. I know its been said but we will say it again. Its that important. Enjoy the H&Rs. They have a great feel. Also, check the threads on how to set the suspension. You will want to have more negative camber in the front but less stiffness. The Tokico's come with a guide for proper front wheel and rear wheel settings to get the best results.

Hey thank you very much for the advice, I do understand that I will have to get the camber kits as well as an alignment, I am still trying to make up my mind on if I should get Koni Struts or Bilstein, The bilsteins look really nice. Except the price on them is pretty expensive. I might be getting the t1r Camber kit for the rear but for the front I still don't know what would be good to get. Thanks though very much on your advice/opinion. I have start saving up for the Struts/Shocks/camber kits.

T1R's hold up on quality. They look brand new after 3 years. I'd definitely recommend them

For the front camber there are multiple brands that offer the bolt adjustment method. Ingalls makes one for dirt cheep. You can also check if the suspension you want offers an upper mount with camber adjustment. Between the Bilstien and the Koni yellows I would go yellow just for the adjust ability. Both are arguably the top brands but in order to get good performance out of your setup you will want to be able to stiffen as necessary. I chose a slightly lower brand, although quite good, in order to have adjustment and not have to cut my stock suspension like you will with the Koni. You might also want to losen/lose the front sway bar and purchase a stiff rear one. A really important question here is "what are you trying to achieve?". Neutral steer? Anything we can do to help you reach your goal we will. Unless its free labor. Were kinda lazy.

Since there's enough information in this thread to make a detailed decision, I will provide you info with my setup and picture (we have the same wheels too!):

-H&R Sport Springs (2" drop All Around)

-Tokico D-Specs (rides nicely when set halfway to mimic OEM quality), going on 3+ years strong

-SPC full camber kit, set to -1.5 degrees in the rear, -.5 in the front (the limits within OEM spec, I should place the fronts with more neg. camber so it won't rub though)

-205/55/16 tires (rubs on harder turns)

What do you mean by "cut my stock suspension like you will with the Koni." Does this mean that if I get Koni Yellows, I will have to cut my suspension. Sorry read it a bit confusing. Thank you for the advice as well as. Im going to check if they have a front camber T1R Camber kit as well to keep it all the same branded. If not I will look for something else. Im saving up hopefully with tax money but not sure. Have to confirm with Wifey since Im doing this more for safety then anything else. Thank you for the great advice/opinions.

Very nice ride man. Looks just like mine other then the fact that im all around stock. no wing/rack/skirts/fog lights (which after suspension I have to look for some good fog lights for my EP. Aswell as I right now Im looking for a Front License Plate Kit/w/ Relocator if anyone knows let me know lol. I just got pulled over for that, He stopped me and told me. Illegal exhaust which I just have some cheap ac3 racing tip, illegal drop (LoL) Illegal Front Light Window Tint, which I have no tint lol, Illegal Carbon Fiber "Racing Hood" LoL Hence "Racing" lol what else Illegal Yellow Head Lights, and no Front License Place. Damn he was a real jerk about it all.) Same Rims though so its nice seeing someone else with the same rims. Also Im not trying to let my tires rub a lot or any on the rear. Here is some pictures of the H&R Springs that I have. I just opened the box and took some pics of them stuff. Hopefully you guys can see it. Since I bought the car and bought the springs but never did anything since now Im paying off the car.

Thank you all for the advice/opinions. I will keep posting. LoL (This should be a sticky):tehehyper:

Not a problem sir. I'll get some pics up tonight.
The front camber kit is just a bolt, one on each side. I think its like $30 or so from Ingalls. No one else really made it, that I'm aware of.

Thanks again passenger I appreciate you taking time to reply and if you do take pictures as well thank you. I'm going to be doing all if this with a Buddy of mine. I don't have the extra money to pay for labor, maybe lunch you know what I mean. Plus on to if it it is a great learning experience, I've done so much by myself. The hardest thing I have ever done was probably the motor mounts. It took me the longest. Thank you again for the advice/ opinions.

I Love the drop that is what Im hoping for since I dont want wheel tuck because that is a ticket mos-def on there. Hopefully you remember what they are called since I want some it looks nice. Mine have the Konig Emblem on them but they are falling apart since it was just a sticker on the rim pretty much the Konig one that comes with the wheels. They look really nice though.

The bronze caps come with the rear hubs. The sideskirts are JDM Replica ones, and I would go with the real JDM ones because of the imperfect fitment issues, which scratches my paint. Thanks for the compliments.

If you really want the gold caps, they are part #42326-SLA-000:
