Finished this project a little while ago... I decided I wanted a beefier setup for my Buddy Club rails so I fabbed up a set of these one-off seat brackets. I constructed them to my specifications to provide a non-adjustable single mount configuration to provide the perfect seating position and cleanest execution.

.

.

Started with flat stock and bent it in the press break...

.

.

Had some stainless steel mounting pucks made to my spec (inspired by Mugen's design) as well as conical washers.

.

.

I cut the shape using a cutoff wheel then fine tuned it with files and sandpaper ( I like to do things old school )

.

.

Had them powdercoated ...

.

.

Wanted to run a different belt configuration to work better with the bucket seat so I picked up a shorter buckle with no SRS unit. Then I fabbed a different mount for it to allow clearance for the new brackets.

And the finished product, yet to be installed.

Those are buddy club super low down rails?

This is the exact problem I'm going to have with Status side mount conflicting with the buddy club eye bolt hole for lap belt.

Looks sweet BTW. Great work as usual!

Yup that was my issue. Fabbing a new mount is the only solution. The BC rails are great except for that issue (and the side mounts that it comes with)

The individual side mounts flex/move too much I assume?

I just feel that they are so skimpy they are unsafe. Not only is that a very small bracket holding the seat down but they are swiss cheesed with slots basically covering the entire vertical surface.

This was a one time deal. The plugs wont be for a little bit. We just got a foot and a half of snow this morning so it will be impossible to hit the junkyard till it melts.

Damn that's clean!!! I love how you made your oem seat belt go through the seat hole. I often see people go over top the bolster, and eventually wearing out their seat.
