Just wreck my EP and kinda in a predicament

Like i said i wreck my car and the motor is still good. It was a hit and run so the car had liability so i was screwed. I'm on a debate on picking up a 98-00 SI or 01-03 Coupe and swap my k20a3 motor in it.

Opinions would be appreciated

If you get a EM1 (99-00) just keep the B16 that come in it. If you get a EM2 (01-05) then I would say swap the K20A3 in there.

Its not worth it to swap the A3 into just about ANY Honda..its just too much time and money and doesnt provide that much more power.. Plus the 98-00 SI produced the same power as the A3 and redlined at a higher RPM and was lighter.. the only advantage of the A3 was a slight increase in torque which is worthless I think considering what it would take to get it into the car.

I wouldnt do it unless the A3 is built or you are boosted.

Sorry about your EP.. I personally would pass on both cars.. they are theft magnets..

my ep3 walked all over bolt on em1s when it was stock...k20a3s are simple motors that have are pretty well engineered...the power output from it would make me more than happy in an older lighter honda for the street...

yea. all of your inputs does male sense but just was an idea. just thought during the process i can swap the k20a3 heads into it..
