17's because it looks better to me, and plus they dont weigh as much as 18's.

Seriously dog, I've got 18x7's on my whip and I hate em, they look great. But Monday I crossed some railroad tracks as I normally would at 35/40 mph and bammm! blew out the tyre and cracked the rim:'( so I have been driving around on the (may-pop) for a few days now as my new wheel is on back-order. Overall they are not worth getting for just looks. My car feels like a buick le sebre in the turns, brakes further, and just feels clumsy and sluggish. I will be selling them as soon as I get the new wheel and tyre installed.

Hehe 40 series, damn I wish, I've got 215/35/18 I cruised by a local tyre outlet to get advise about two weeks ago on getting larger rubber, but was told that a 215/35/18 is the or smaller is the only rubber you can get away with on a Civic without rubbing while making a U-turn. I may have overstated the handicap in performance a-bit, but If you really love to drive you will find them an inconvienence.

all the more reason to stick with 17's...35 series tires are just too thin for comfort
