K24a1 head on my a3

Well I'm looking around and cant find anything recent on this.... I know the A3 head sucks balls and when it dies on people like mines did the next best thing from swaping in a CRV engine is replacing with a K24a1 head.... OK... So here come the questions/my plans....

Q's:
-Do I need to get the CRV motor mount (I think I read somewhere you do)
-Why is the CRV head much better?
-Do I need to mod anything else or does everything just bolt up?

My Plans:
-Skunk 2 Stage 2 Cams w/ Valve Train
-K-Pro

Any info would be helpful.... Even good links to find recent info on this.
OH! And the reason I'm keeping the A3 bottom end is cuz you can have a higher rev limit without the engine dieing like the K24a1.....AND... My A3 only has like 90K on it. :mwink:

The k24a1 has much better flow over the a3 head.

Your better off getting the whole k24a1.. it has more tq and alot more potential to make power than the k20a3. The oil pump is really the only thing holding it from reving as high/higher. Switch to a k20a2 oil pump and you can rev it to 7500-8600k

It bolts up just fine, you don't need the side mount. I don't really understand the point though, it'll make more power than the A3 head but still.

Try doing a vtec killer setup in the K24A1 head and you'll make some decent power.

Really? Cause guys on k20a.org are always talking about reving the k24 to 8-9k all day long.. and not just the k24a2. Ill try to find a link tomorrow. Its late.

yea people are reving the k24 above 8k, just do the k20a2 oil pump and your good

I sure as hell wouldn't on a stock k24a1, the piston speed at those rpm's is ridiculous
