Ok, got everything put in and AM reception is kind of poor and FM seems ok. Sometimes need to hear the news and it stinks that I can't hear it. The OEM radio reception was good. Any suggestions?

I keep hearing that our antenna is amplified though I have not seen it. did you make sure to hook the antenna wire on the harness to the antenna/remote wire on your radio? Thats the only thing I can think of that could cause bad reception.

Two Kenwoods; one regular, one excelon both had good reception. Currently have a 2010 Alpine and can't get a single station. I think it's a push some manufacturers are using to get people to go to HD radio.

Wow I got radio reception again, thanks again for all the input.

For those of you that may of have thought power antenna, why do I need to hook that up? You do it powers an antenna amplifier. In service manual page 22-99.
