View Full Version : Reflash can that fix the lean?

With a k24a1 w/ bolt ons will run lean without K-Pro. Will the reflash help that out or would it make it worse? Which that would be temporarily till I could pay for the full price for k-pro.

i heard you can run a k24a1 with your stock ep3 ecu,310 type s injectors or you can use the stock a3 injectors and NO blots ons whats soo ever and it runs good until you get Kpro. this what im going to do when i do my swap in the next mouth:mbiggrin:

Do it right...spend the money and get k-pro and get a proper tune..

Would you half ass replacing your heart? maybe only hook up 2 valves? i think not

Not quite right, you can not run the stock EP3 injectors with the stock ECU, it requires the 310 injectors, stock ECU and complete stock intake and exhaust to run the K24 without Kpro.

well im in luck i do have the 310's soo sounds like im good to go,but yeah do this if you want to do the half ass job in other members words

I know you can run a k24a1 with no bolt ons w/ 310 injectors on the stock ecu. I just never heard anyone ever brought up a reflash question w/ a k24a1. And it's not half fasting it. I said temporarily. Think before you type.

too me its not half assing it either i just dont have the 1000 to drop on kpro shit im doing this as temp too man, plus i never said it, i said it in other memebers words

No, you can not use the reflash with the cheap swap route, the K24A1 with 310's and the stock ECU just barely works, the reflash will run it very lean.

Thank you. Thats all I was asking for. I didnt know if the reflash tuned the fuel or not. Ill just have to put more hours in at work.

The reflash has the ignition advance turned up and the cam advance as well. I am sure it would start and after a idle relearn it would have decent A/F at part throttle because of the short term fuel trim, but as soon as you accel and enter open loop the fuel trim is ignored and the engine runs strictly off the calibration which would be seriously lean during accel
