buying my first ep3...=D...

hello ep hatch!...

Alright I'm trying to buy my first ep3... I'm stuck between 2... one of them is a 2005 black ep3... it has 89k miles on the body and 69 on a k20a2 swap...

The other is just a stock vbp ep3 2004 with 64k miles...

The swapped one is my first option!... but I just need advice on this...lol...

Both have clean titles... both seem clean in person... just wanna know what you guys think before I go look at them...

The reason I'm stuck is cause of the whole swap thing... that my first option but I'm scared they have cut corners with the swap... besically what how do you guys feel on buying a swapped car?... my friend that is a mechanic said its 50/50 thing... unless there's something obviously wrong with the car...

I'd say post up in the Florida regional forum (http://www.ephatch.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?33-Florida) and see if there's anyone in your area that either knows the vehicle, or might be willing to take a look for you.
That might seem like a lot to ask, but it just seems if you're not familiar with the swap, wouldn't hurt to have someone that is along to give it a look.

Barring that, I always err on the side of caution; buy the stock one, and build it yourself! :thumbu:

Stock one. That a2 will get boring and you'll be throwing a k24 in it before you know it.

try to buy stock ep3. anything modded is most likely going to give you problems that you're gonna regret.

that is the stock one... the price is high but im sure i can negotiate with the dealer on the price...

The black one does have a lot of goodies for a good price.. especially with a k20a2 instead of our weak a3.

both cars looks clean, but i have to agree with everyone and say buy the stock one. plus you can build it how you like it.

The black one is already sold... So that leaves you with the VBP :) Anyway like it been said, you'll feel better about your car if you built it yourself!
