Been lurking and posting for a little over a week now. Thought I introduce myself. I just bought the car off a former member and I couldn't be happier. This thing is pretty damn fun to drive.

I'm coming from a Saabaru 92x (Re-badged Subaru WRX Wagon).

Glad to join the community as I've already learned so much reading.

Thanks guys!

Thanks! I've only seen one or two other EPs in the area. Cool thing is when I saw them they both gave me the 'sup' head nod.

Thanks. I plan to keep it as is . . . for now. But I'll probably get the modding bug and start going crazy. I already want to do the S2K start button mod.
Yeah I think Honda really does this blue well.

Thanks!

Some gripes:

I noticed a lot of steering creek when parking and starting up. Are my tie rods EFFED? It's annoying and kinda embarrassing. If I raise it a bit will it fix the creek? Do I need to tighten them?

I've gotten used to driving around this low but I miss just bombing corners from drive ways and not CRAWLING over speed bumps holding up everyone else behind me. After reading a bit I'm thinking of finding some HFP suspension, Eibach Sportlines, or Pro-kits.

Any suggestions??

search around the suspension forum...youll find tons of answers there!

Thanks! I've narrowed it down to those 3 options. I was looking at the 'post your drop' thread and the majority of the picture links are broken. I'd like to compare the drop.

Ideally, I want progressive springs that drop about 1-1.5" The drop on my neuspeeds are 2" and after they've settled in, it's pretty low IMO.

It's ooger-common when our cars are lowered due to the fact that our steering rack isn't hydrolic- but relies on packed grease instead.

Expensive fix:
Replace it with the steering rack from the DC5

Cheap fix:
Cut the metal bands of the rubber boot, add grease and use hose-clamps to reseal the boots.

First find searching, there's definitely more threads on this:

Shots were taken at Metro Point across from South Coast Plaza shopping center.

I got rid of the Saabaru, b/c honestly I was sick of having a car payment and high insurance and the higher cost of ownership.

Sounds lame, but I wanted to put money down on my debt.

I feel so much more happy about it.

That's totally fair. I vaccilate on whether I want to buy a new car & get close to talking myself into it & then deciding I don't want a note.

Regarding the huge pictures, when you host them, your host should give you a 'resize for forum' option. Maybe try reloading?

Had Neuspeed springs on, Swapped'em (with a lot of trial and error) for some Eibachs. Glad I did. Much better ride quality and height.

Did a canyon run with my buddy's Stage II Saabaru yesterday. I love my seats. They hug great in the turns. The most fun I've had in my car to date.

Thanks.

Here's a video of me in the canyons. (I let off the throttle towards the end because I didn't want to die around that blind crest/turn {though that would be killer footage})
