anyone running a em2 sway bar? i got a couple of questions (i have some answers to some of the questions but i thought having this thread would
if so, which one are you guys using? the 01-02 uses a 25.4mm front sway and the 03-05 uses a 15.9mm front sway bar.
is there a difference in the handling characteristics? i believe the 25.4 is hollow like the usdm ep3 front sway and the 15.9 is the solid one.
for those with a jdm spec header, how's the clearance?
for those who have a k24 swap, how's the clearance?

Im not running any strut bars or sway bars but car still handles well enough but its the 16 mm one that you want to use for a k24a2...

Im not running a front sway or x-brace either. Swap forced me to part ways with it. Looking to get a swaybar back in.
I replaced the sub-frame brace to ITR spec and it greatly improved handling.

I'm running the 01-02 EM2 sway bar and end links to clear my BCRH. Funny part about that was it was the only thing I've ever found to be CHEAPER from the dealership than anywhere else online!

i know some members have had success using the 15.9mm sway to clear the header w/ their k24 swaps. my brother has this setup but it still rattles against his KRRH.
i have a k20a3 and the spoon/itr header w/ the 15.9 sway and it clears fine. i just want to get a beefier sway up front and was trying to see if the 25.4 sway would work. i realize the OD/thickness is different but:
1) is the curvature the same?
2) iirc, 15.9 is solid and 25.4 is hollow, will the 25.4 make a difference in handling characteristics?

what sway bar did you try? oem usdm ep3?

any chance you can take a quick pick under the car to show clearance between the highest part of the header and lowest part of the sway?

Before the swap I changed front and rear swaybars to '06 RSX-S spec.

Sorry, the car is totally burried in the garage right now. I know there wasn't a whole ton of clearance, but it wasn't rubbing at all after driving it for a month or so before winter came.

gotcha yea, i think the DC5S front sway has a curvature very similar to the usdm ep3 front sway

mm's/cm's/unit of measure/inch's??

nice. 1cm is good enough, but 2cm would be great.

How much are they going for and where can you find them? I was thinking of just doing the stock ctr front and rear sway set up.

I am actually running a DC5 front sway i believe it is 23mm when i get home i will measure it. The stock ep is a 25mm i believe, also the dc5 front sway does have the same bends as the oem.

from what i've read on crsx, i know that this sway can be used to clear a jdm header like the spoon/itr/toda on a k20a. i'm trying to find out which sway would clear the same headers on a ep3/dc5. hoping wither 01/02 em2 sway, 03-05 em2 sway or jdm ep3r front sway could do this

it depends on the header really. if you plan on running a front sway the thinner em2 sway offers the greatest clearance

so just to confirm the 2003-2005 Em2 swaybar is the 16mm one and part # is 51300-S5D-A02 ?
I did a search on Hondapartscheap : http://www.hondapartscheap.com/southbay/jsp/prddisplay.jsp?hidSwitch=&hidIrno=&catcgry1=CIVIC&catcgry2=2004&catcgry3=2DR+EX&catcgry4=KA5MT&catcgry5=KNUCKLE&vinsrch=no&ListAll=&prdrefno=1093340&act=additem&count=1&quantity=1&qty0=1&qty2=1&qty4=1&qty6=1&qty8=1&qty10=1&qty12=1&qty14=1&qty16=1&qty18=1&qty20=1&qty22=1&qty24=1&qty26=1&qty28=1&qty30=1&qty32=1&qty34=1&qty36=1&qty38=1&qty40=1&qty42=1
is #5 the right one ? the last thing I want is to order the 23 mm em2 sway, I need the 16 mm to try and clear my headers.
Also, did you guys order em2 swaybar bushings or the stock ep3 ones fit ?

100% Confirmed, it will fit.
I have a k24a2, DCRH, and the 16 MM em2 sway. it clears just fine but is close on the passenger side when the car is up on jacks.
As the car is lowered the bar rotates back and gains more clearance.

^^^ I tried and it's too close for me to actually say it fits.
A credit card of clearance is all it afforded. Any bumps and I suspect it will bang around.
Others(CRSX guys) have reported the same, that it bangs around when driving.
