I would say, for the price, the OBXRH Vers 2. BUT, if you can fork out $400 (although I think they can be found for $350ish) I would choose the KRRH. There might be some fitment issues with the KRRH depending on what exhaust you are running with.

I have the OBXRH vers 2 and I have no fitment issues at all. I have it with the stock k20a3, HKS midpipe, HKS hi-power muffler.

well right now i have the DCRH and i am getting debating whether to fork out 350 which is what i found so far...i just want to make sure i get something that i am going to be pleased with not saying that DC is crappy i just want to change it up....also i have the HKS Hi-Power Catback exhaust

OBX gen 2 header is a COPY of the Comptech RH

Kidd Racing/Private Label is a COPY of the SSR RH

Pick your poison. I'd lean towards the Kidd Racing as SSR knows how to make a quality header, but the OBX is good as well.

Both are going to perform within 1whp of each other (and have similar powerbands) on a K20a3 though........

ok cool...out of curiosity why is KRRH saying that they will give me 10WHP to any other header out there

marketing advertisment? Although I remember there was some dynos proving it. But, I'd say it would depend on your other mods to help support it.

aren't the primaries paired for the wrong cylinders on the OBX? just seems funny to me that all the other headers i see have the primaries aligned differently.

like what T_Virus mentioned, the Ad says depending on the type of modifications you have. I belive if you tune it with Kpro accompanied by CAI/DeleteCAT(midpipe)/better flowing exahaust, 10whp might be reachable. Also, the number might be based off of swap motor such as a2 or something like that.

I'll be doing my dyno/tune this Saturday, so I'll post up the result on Dyno section. FYI, I have z3 swap/KRRH/modified SRI/3" custom exhasut/Kpro.

I'm about to buy a kiddracing header, but the seller sent me a picture and it doesn't come with a little test pipe section.

I researched a bit, and it should come with a little test pipe section.

Is this a kiddracing header? And will it fit a ep3 specific exhaust?

Not to my knowledge.

The KRRH will provide far better low and midrange compared to the OBX because the KRRH is a Tri-Y.

While I had the OBX V.3, and currently own the KRRH, I can def tell the difference between the 2. Like Talon stated, the low and midrange is byfar more tq'y over the V.3, As for fitment issues, both gave me issues, but in different ways, now im running a k24 so take this with a grain of salt, but the OBX would not clear the front sway, and where it pairs with the midpipe would bang on the bottom of my chassis. Now the KRRH, is a whole nother story, cleared the front sway by plenty, but gave many other issues that im still dealing with, pushed the exhaust out the rear by about 3-4 inchs. The exhaust now hangs 3 or 4 inchs from the ground, and im not as low as id like to be, and where the header parts with the test pipe/extension where there is a doughnut gasket, leaked like crazy, I did modifications to both headers, but again this was on a k24. But back on the subject of performance, i most def would go with the KRRH in that catagory.

im using it to replace my sh*tty dcrh. i'm also getting a new catback at the same time. I've been off this site for long enough not to know if the kidd racing header is ep3 specific or if it will need jdm midpipe/modification. since im buying a whole system, i'd prefer a direct bolt up.

The KRRH is DC5S specific, you will need a DC5S spec midpipe.

thanks a lot man, i may just have to fork over a few extra $ and buy a ctr specific catback.
