Title explains it. A k20a3 ecu that has k-pro will it be able to comply with the k20a2 standards with full vtec. Stupid question but yet have I seen this question asked or been answered.

What do you mean the 5 speed transmission? It's an ecu. Then there would be no point for the head if it will drop out of vtec. So is there anything really good with the type-r ecu or the type-s ecu or is it just baller to have a type-r hondata programmed ecu?

He means that the ep ecu wont have the reverse lockout if you swap in a 6 speed tranny

vtec is adjustable with kpro, you wont fall out of vtec with any k tranny you use. you can use any of the 3 ECU's, the ep's ecu does not have an output for a 6spd reverse lockout if you throw in a 6spd. which any decent driver wont really need as you can still feel the bump when you pull the shifter over for reverse.

properly tuned vtec is un-noticable to the crossover feeling, so falling out of it is kinda moot.
