i cant figure out how to use it for the life of me. i get as far as loading a data log and that's it. is that all it does or am i missing the point?

Is there autotune for kseries? I thought autotune was only for s200 and s300.

Never heard of it

basically you put all cam angles to 20*, ecu in open loop, drive for 30 minutes, upload the datalog into kautofuel and it will plot your a/f and show you how much fuel needs to be added or taken away to reach your desired a/f ratio for part-throttle. Then repeat again but at 30* cam angle. Then depending on which one is better on your fuel economy you set your cruising cam angles to that specific angle. The idea with Kautofuel is that driving for 30 minutes or so will give better averages all across the rev range than using lambda overlay. I have it downloaded, but never tried it and have heard good reports from people that have. Good luck!

I think this software is pretty out dated though, kmanager has had alot of improvements since he wrote this software.

true, i was thinkin that since most of my tuning time is done in 20-30* it would save me about 20-30 minutes of tinkering with that part if it did it automatically. i need to add a 25* table too, it always jumping around between 20-30.

what do you mean by create a 25* table? It is pointless to run datalogs with it locked at 25* unless you know that will be your sweet spot for fuel economy. The ecu interpolates between the 20* and 30* cam angles to figure out what would be an ideal fuel amount if you have the cam angle set at 25*. That is why it is required to run 20* and 30* if you want to run 25* on your map.

exactly what i was saying. instead of having it jump back n forth on my fuel maps, it would most likely stay on the 25* map, makes my life easier and cleans up the datalogs. when i cruise it jumps between maps, makes tuning such a hasle.

calm down, i know what im talkin about. i already get 30mpg in the ep. just trying to make everyones life easier once i get these answers

i wasn't trying to sound like a douche, I was just trying to understand what you were saying. I think I got ya now.

so this outdated progam pretty much shows the correction that needs to be made at every cam angel and fuel cell on partial throttle?

AUTiger

no, it gives you more data points(a/f ratios) for a given cam angle. You run on just the 20* cam angle, load the datalog and make the necessary adjustments to your map. Then datalog at 30* and repeat the process. It is meant to dial in your part throttle for the 20* and the 30*. The better those two are dialed in, then the better the ecu can interpolate for say the 21-29* cam angles if those are in your cruising part-throttle range.
