The story:

Was working at a body kit shop. My boss at the time, let someone rent out some space at the shop to sell parts. At one point this guy was a vendor on EpHatch, but I don't remember what his vendor name was. Anyway, some member on EpHatch ordered a VIS CF Mugen replica wing from him. Anyway the guy went to VIS (since VIS is local for me), picked up the wing, and then brought it back to the shop. While I was on a smoke break he pulled the wing out of the box that he was going to ship. He was telling me that I should put a Mugen replica wing on my car. So we go out to my car which was parked outside. While he was holding it up, the idiot drops it. LOL!!! It hits the floor in two spots. You HAVE to laugh, so I did. I kept telling him that I'd give him $50 for the wing. A couple weeks went by, he was going to try to sell the wing, but eventually sold it to me for a grand lowball of $60.

Also, just to rub it in his face... cus in the automotive industry, I guess we're all just dicks to each other... I fixed it in front of him, took me around 15min. Primed it, installed it. Commenced laughing. Doubt that anyone ever knew, but thats why only the middle of my wing is unpainted carbon. If I were to sand down the base of my wing, you'd see that is carbon too.

I had a kid at work tell me he bought a k20A2 for his EK hatch and he was rebuilding it. After about 3 months he comes to me kinda embarrassed and told me he tore the engine down and could not put it back together and ended up selling the head/rods and pistons. He asked if I wanted the 6speed and the rest of the block. I told him I might be interested but it depends on the price, he told me that he wanted $800 for the transmission and the block as a whole. I waited a couple of hours and went back to him and said I dont have $800 but I have $600 cash as long as I could run the trans through all the gears. I went to visit his house test the transmission and sure as shit like brand new so I got a transmission with 10k miles for $600 and the rest of the block.

My family also owned a shop and worked very close to a Junk yard that is local. I called to see if they had any k20a2's with my surprise they had 3 there! We had just bought an engine from them for something really expensive so they hooked me up again with shipping it was $800. So my total A2 swap was $1400 :-)
