View Full Version : exhaust hangs too low

I got my 3" exhaust put on the other day and man it sits very low lol, had it welded up and i see there is some space for it to be pushed up some more. Its low in the usual spot, right under the car about 3/4th of the way back. There are no hangers at all there so im not sure how the exhaust shop would secure it or raise it up? anybody have tips or ways that they raised there exhaust up because i dont want to scrape a hole in this thing

i tried using a coat hanger but that was fail and didnt work as you can see in the pic lol

That's what mine looked like when I put it on, then I took it to the shop and they.. Bent it? I guess? But they got it up about an inch higher. Just go bitch dude lol

Exactly how mine looks my exhaust shop couldn't get it up because no hangers in the middle

Wow dude. Looks like it's twisted a bit and the bend should fit up higher under the car's contours. I don't really know, though... I'm stock and have no fear of speed bumps or train tracks (or cracks in the concrete, in your case!). I hope you get it sorted out!

its not twisted, it went on the only way it could go on. I guess the wire hanger did do something because i dont scrape it going in or out of my driveway anymore so thats good

I installed 3 "from the resonator to straight where rubber mountings,in this area we weld..i try to take a photo for reference also you can enter in turbo section you can view 3" exhaust pipe thread...

this is how it is installed..this is 3" mandrell pipe and i paint it with vht flat black formulated for high temperature
